We are on our second month of our 12 Months of Drinks blog series and this month I am sharing a St. Patrick’s themed drink with you. At first I thought about doing a Shamrock Shake, but I feel that has been sort of overdone and who can really beat the one they have at McDonalds… so, since I am a wine lover, I decided to try out a St. Patrick’s Day Green Sangria!
This drink was so easy to whip up and it was a nice twist off of a regular glass of wine. The fresh mint, cucumbers, lime and apples in it give the drink a light and refreshing taste… which makes me think of Spring!
Are you ready to go through the three steps on how to make this refreshing drink? Oh, and aren’t my new stemless wine glasses adorbs? I picked them up at the grocery store of all places.
First you’ll need to get all of your ingredients together…
a bottle of Pinot Grigio
large glass pitcher
Midori melon liqueur
cut up green apple
lime
sliced cucumber
mint leaves
club soda
Step One
Poor bottle of wine into large glass pitcher
Step Two
Add 1 oz of Midori Melon liqueur to wine
Step Three
Add slices of apple, lime, cucumber and mint to the large glass pitcher and refrigerate for at least two hours. Add club soda and garnish the glass when it is ready to serve.
And, that completes this months drink! See you again next month for April’s drink of the month!
