Some of you have asked me why I decided to name my blog ‘Mama’s Going to Buy You a Mockingbird’… This lyric comes from the song ‘Hush Little Baby’. One day a few weeks ago, Autumn was crying and she wasn’t hungry, dirty or tired so I took her in her room and played this song to her. Nathan loved it and keeps repeating this specific lyric to me. Its so cute and I even found a video on itune of the song (except it says Papa instead of Mama, what is up with that?) and its from the The Rescuers movie and he is always asking me to play that video of the song now. But, it was funny, while I was searching for it on my laptop, I came across the lyrics for the song… and, I had NO idea that EMINEM had manipulated the lyrics of such a sweet song to use in one of his songs. I wanted to share with you the original lyrics, then the lyrics of EMINEM’s song. Its amazing how many times the lyrics have been changed to this song, there is even a Led Zepelin version. Just goes to show you that you can find out more then you want to on the web!! lol.
