It is so fun to be off of work for an ENTIRE week, including Memorial Day!
We decided several weeks ago that once Nathan turned 3, we would take away his diapers (except if we went out somewhere or for bed). So, today, Nathan was in big boy underwear for most of the day. He wet himself 3 times and cried and begged us to change him each time he wet himself. When we went out, he was so happy to have a diaper put on him when normally he fights us to change his diaper! lol! The third time he wet himself it was right when he was in the bathroom about to sit on the toilet so we were so close. Hopefully tomorrow will go better as he did not pee once on the toilet today.
While I was on maternity leave, we went to the story time at the Teacher’s Lounge every Monday. I thought it would be fun to revisit this fun activity again today since I was off of work. It was so much fun and Mrs. Patty remembered us! She was so excited to show us the butterflies that she had in her store. She is selling a kit right now that includes a small tent (the same one you see pictured or a smaller one), then they mail you the eggs and you put them in the tent. Then, the eggs turn into caterpillars to the chrysalis and lastly the butterfly is formed! It sounds so neat and I almost bought Nathan the smaller tent as it was only $14 and the bigger tent that you see in the picture that the store had was $35. I didn’t buy it because I am just not sure if I want insects in the house, I know, I know, I am weird.

Here is Nathan’s craft. The kids made a make-believe animal. Nathan’s is part elephant, part walrus, part pig, and part alligator.
After the Teacher’s Lounge, I had an obgyn appointment (bleh), but after that we decided to go outside to enjoy some beautiful 70 degree weather!
Brotherly and Sisterly love… ha! Not! Nathan pushed Autumn face first into the grass after I snapped this photo. She cried so hard and had grass clippings and mulch all over her!

Also, today was also exciting because Autumn was sucking on my finger and I felt… teeth… I thought, hmmm, that is not right, but sure enough, I looked in her mouth and there is TWO bottom teeth just surfacing from her gum! YAYYYY! Maybe this means she will stop drooling so much?!

Jeremi and Nathan stayed outside and had a water fight with the hose and I went to Target with Miss Audi. She stayed awake and really looked around the entire time we shopped. I am a total bargain shopper and you’ll never believe this but I had FREE coupons for ALL of these items: Jiffy peanut butter, Schmuckers jelly, Kashi microwave meal, Heinz Ketchup, Pace Salsa and Orville Popcorn. I also had $1 off coupons for MiniWheats and they were on sale for $1.99 at Target so I got them for $.99 a box! I think the cashier hated me!
The final closure to my wonderful day off of work is I won another blog contest (remember, I won Kaycee’s last month)!! I won a Take Along Thomas Round House new in box with free shipping from another blog I follow. She gives away a free item at her house that she no longer uses each week. Her blog is called Raising 3 Little Men. It is so neat that I won this because (1) Nathan LOVES trains so he will play with it four hours and (2) she drew his name on his birthday of all days! YAY!
