I am behind on doing the Highlights activities with Nathan, so this morning we decided to try out the Maple-Cinnamon French Toast. All I can say is, my picky eater gobbled it all up, and had fun making breakfast with his Momma!
Here are the ingredients, and let me say that Maple Syrup is NOT cheap… It was $7 at Wal-Mart… eek!
Directions
I helped Nathan crack 3 eggs
Autumn loved playing with an egg… and, yes, her hair is a little mop top in the morning before I brush it! heheh!
How did I know this was going to happen?!
Nathan did an excellent job at stirring the eggs
Add a little milk
Add some of the sweet and yummo maple syrup
Add the cinnamon
Let Autumn hold the cinnamon so she is content
Add vanilla
Now for the fun part, dunk the bread into the bowl and soak both sides… this recipe makes 4 pieces of french toast and NO more…
Spray oil in large skillet over medium heat. Then, cook bread 1 1/2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. ENJOY!! (**Just a side note: You might not want to share this with any children under 2 as there is a lot of eggs in the batter… **)
