I have been meaning to make a blog post about Autumn’s 12 month doctor visit, and I finally have the time to write about it tonight. Autumn went for the doctor visit ON her birthday, last month. Here are her stats:
Height: 30″ (75%)
Weight: 18 lbs (7%)
The doctor gave her the 2nd dose of her flu shot, her vaccination shots and they pricked her finger to check her iron levels. Poor girl! What was sad was after they pricked her finger the nurse put a bandaid on it and it looked so huge on her itty bitty finger. I took it off before the ride home, because as we all know, Autumn will eat ANYTHING.
Other then that, the doctor visit went well. He said to keep her in the baby carrier rear facing until her 15 month visit, and then we would see if her weight would put her to where she can face forward. Also, he told us that we could wait until 15 months to wean her off of the bottle, so I think we will do that.
I am still breastfeeding Autumn but only twice a day now, in the morning and before bed. Then, she also gets two 6 oz bottles of whole milk, one in the morning and one inbetween lunch and dinner. She takes about 2-3 hour naps, or a 1 hour nap and then a 2 hour nap later in the day. She is sleeping really well at night and I put her down around 7:30 p.m. and she will sleep until 5 a.m… however, lately she has been waking at 4am and I just bring her to bed with us and she sleeps in my arms.
Autumn is still not walking, but is taking some steps, standing on her own and cruising. She loves to walk if I hold her one hand and will walk all around the house with my help. She loves stacking things, putting things in and out, putting on necklaces, making marks on a pad of paper, smiling, dancing, CLIMBING (ack!), and she has an amazing pincher grasp and can put this itty bitty elf hat on this tiny lego elf that Nathan has… just amazing. She also loves ride on toys and can get on and off, push them and ride on them.
She is at such a cute age right now, and the best part if all of the sweet and juicy kisses she loves to give me! Sooo sweet!
