A photo of my sleepy little girl… Its been almost a year since I’ve taken a photo of her sleeping so I had to take one tonight…
This morning we took Autumn to her 15 month well visit at Dr. Atteberry’s office. She fell asleep on the way there and I woke her up right before I had to undress her for the scale. She was not a happy camper, but after we got her weighed she cheered up and was checking out our room in her diaper while we waited.
Here are her stats…
Height: 31″ (70% in her age bracket)
Weight: 19 lbs 14 oz (10% in her age bracket)
Head Circumference: 45.8 cm (50% in her age bracket)
Autumn is still a little peanut, and since she is under 20 lbs, we still need to keep her rear facing in the car. I still have her in the pumpkin seat, but we are planning on buying the Graco Nautilus for Nathan and then moving her into Nathan’s Britax Marathon (but Jeremi will turn it so it is rear facing). We are going to keep her rear facing until she is 18 months and is in her lower 20’s as far as weight goes… Nathan was forward facing by a year because he was 23+ lbs at the 1 year mark!
Autumn got her Hep A shot and also the Chicken Pox vaccine, they let me hold her while they did the exam and while giving the shots so she did not fuss much at all. I am so relieved because I noticed she has little pea to peanut sized lymph nodes in her groin area and apparently that is normal in babies and toddlers as their immune system is still immature. I also brought up that Autumn is not saying many words, just Mama, Dada, and a few others, but she rarely says them. Lately she LOVES to nod her head yes and no, it is so cute!! The doctor said we should see a huge increase in her speech around 18 months, and that this is common in the 2nd child. I guess we will see, Nathan said so many more words at this age, so maybe he is doing all the talking for her!
Oh, and the doctor wants us to give up her bottles in the next month. She gets 2 bottles of whole milk and we need to give it to her in a sippy cup or straw cup. She loves her water in a cup but she always spits the milk out of the cup. So, we may try a tad of chocolate in the milk, I am not sure how we’ll get her to drink milk out of a cup. Argh.
Autumn loves her food these days but gosh she is making SUCH a mess under her chair on the hardwood floor! I sort of hope these messy food days are over soon ;o)-
