Nathan has had a Little Tikes plastic slide and swing set since his first birthday, and we have kept it downstairs in the playroom on the blue foam padded mat. Well, while Autumn was napping, I decided to unscrew the swing from off of the slide, so that I could just bring the slide upstairs for the kids to play on. I thought, this will be great, it won’t take up too much room, and they’ll have lots of fun.
Oh, boy was I wrong. (Well, partially.) So, I bring the slide part upstairs, and Nathan starts crying, because I took the swing piece off. So, did I tell Nathan, too bad, I am the mom and I don’t want the humongous slide and swing taking up a huge part of my living room? Uhh, no. I went back downstairs, got the swing part, and proceeded to drill it back onto the slide part, all the while Nathan was bouncing up and down on top of the slide, making it OH so hard to put back together. Oh, what we will do for our kids, yes, indeed…
Yeah, he better SMILE for me after all of the work I did, lugging the awkward pieces upstairs and putting them together! Yeah, I know why he is REALLY smiling!!!!! Little stinker! ;o)-
Nathan is learning to be patient with his sister, but she is really pretty good about climbing up to get on the top of the slide… and, I am so proud of her, she knows to go down feet first!
Oh, yes, hours of fun. The kids LOVE the slide… just love it.
She giggles everytime she goes down the slide! Tough girl!
Of course, Autumn figured out how to get into the swing allll by herself. Except… once she is in the swing, she gets upset because she can’t turn around to face forward, and then she cries for help. And, then she’ll do the same thing all over again! I tell you, that girl!!!
