Nathan’s Valentine’s party at school was on Valentine’s Day! How fun! Mrs. M actually took care of all of the party arrangements and all I had to do was show up! This was actually really nice, because usually she emails me a day or two before the party… and, then I am scrambling to coordinate with the other moms on what they need to bring for the party. I have A LOT going on with the divorce, so it was such a relief that all I had to do was show up at the party to help. Mrs. M baked cupcakes for the snack, and gave each kid a dollop of icing so that they could ice their own cupcake.
Then the kids got candy hearts and sprinkles to decorate their cupcake with. Here is Nathan’s sweet cupcake.
Then, for the craft, she asked each parent to bring in a milk container. Lucky me got assigned to cutting off the tops of about 19 milk containers. And, WHEW, did some of them STINK! Don’t worry, that is what soap and water are for! Ha!! She had the kids decorate the containers with those foam Valentine stickers. Mrs. M LOVES these foam stickers. There has not been a party yet where foam stickers were not involved.
Nathan was SO excited about decorating his milk container, that he ran out of room… and started sticking stickers inside the container.
I have to say, this gets ‘Coolest Valentine Award’
