Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Mother’s out there that read my blog!
After t-ball today, we did some quick grocery shopping and then headed to St. Charles for an early Mother’s Day lunch with my family. We decided to have lunch at Miss Aimee B’s, which is a cute little tea room and gift shop.
Here I am with my Mom, brother and Dad.
So, I wanted to share some of our yummy drink and food. I am a lemonade lover, and I decided to order Aimee B’s special lemonade, which has milk in it as a secret ingredient. It was really good, but a little tart and pulpy. My brother and I are not big on pulp!!! And, I really like sweet lemonade… but, apart from the lemonade, everything else was delicious! (And, my Mom LOVED the lemonade!)
I got the praline french toast and a garden salad. I guess a salad is sort of an odd thing to order with breakfast, I didn’t think about this until I got my plate. But, both were REALLY delicious! Yum!
This is such a great place to take kids, they had a special Mother’s Day menu but nothing smaller for the kids. So, the waitress suggested a summer sausage, fruit and cheese plate for Nathan. He really enjoyed it! He even tried to eat the decorative green lettuce/weed stuff on the plate. LOL
They have REALLY good mac and cheese here. I ordered Autumn a side of it, and then she had some of Nathan’s fruit.
The kids relaxing after a delicious meal.
Tomorrow we are heading over to the Sculpture Park for their annual art fair that they have every Mother’s Day weekend. I haven’t gone sine I have had kids! Should be A LOT of fun! They have a kids craft station, and live music… I told Nathan that we are BROWSING and not touching or buying ANYTHING. :o)-
