Today I took the kids in for their 6 month checkup at the dentist. It was Autumn’s very first visit, and her teeth were in great shape! They sent me a book in the mail that I read to her that described everything they would do at the visit. Here she is posing for a photo that they added to her dentist visit book. Such a cutie!
Nathan (sigh) had 3 cavities… I have cut back on the fruit snacks, he mainly drinks ice water and we brush twice a day and floss. I am going to try to do the ‘2 minute’ brush rule, I set a timer and I plan to brush top for a minute and bottom for a minute. 2 minutes seems like such a long time, though! But, I can’t afford anymore of these cavities! I have no cavities and I am 34 years old! I was so disappointed, but what can you do?! I have to set up two appointments to get them fixed.
After the dentist, we went home and had lunch… then, headed to the POOL! Nathan is really interested in learning how to swim, and we went around the lazy pool a few times and he kept his head above the water but still isn’t 100% there as I had to really watch him. Autumn was SO brave, she actually went down a water slide right after Nathan! But… it scared her and the poor thing cried!
Nathan suntanning. Ha, ha!
And, here is Autumn alllll bundled up in her towel. Her naptime was approaching, so I let her have her binky. And, WOW, she was out before I even pulled out of the parking lot. Gotta love how swimming does that to kids!
