I have never celebrated St. Nick’s with the children, but thought I would give it a whirl this year. I wanted to keep it really simple and traditional, so I had the children leave their boots by the door (Autumn’s yellow rain boots and Nathan’s black cowboy boots) and I filled them with a Santa hat trail mix, orange/apple, Target Dollar Spot socks, Santa ornament I made for each of them and a simple toy from the dollar store (boomerang/sock purse with lipglosses).
Nathan doesn’t really have any boots, so he dug in his closet and found these ugly black cowboy boots that someone handed down to us. They aren’t really TOO ugly, but they are freaking loud on the hardwood floors. Clack, clack, clack.
Autumn put her yellow rain boots by the door, I bought these for Nathan for his fireman costume way back. Awwh!
I love Pinterest, and on there I saw this cute Santa hat trail mix that I made the kids. I will be doing a blog post soon on how I made it.
The kids with their goodies. Nathan is much more chipper in the morning. Autumn loved the santa hats in her trail mix. And, Nathan is still trying to figure out how to get his boomerang to come back after he throws it.
