It’s Trendy Tot time once again with Mrs In Training, Lindsay and Megan! During our little staycation, we took the kids to our yearly staycation site, the Sandy Creek Covered bridge. Of course, the only day we could go during the staycation, it rained off and on all day. I didn’t want to miss out on our special bridge photos, so I took some of the kids under the umbrella and some with them under the bridge. I love how the pictures turned out!
Since I knew I would be taking a lot of photos, I put on Autumn’s ‘Heart’ Missouri tank shirt from Jessica at LuLu & Co. Ohhh do I love how her state shirt turned out, I really think I might order one for myself, too! Nathan is wearing all Gymboree, it is last season as he still fits in last years clothes.
Here is a photo of the bridge from a distance, isn’t it beautiful? It kind of sneaks up on you as there are so many trees around it.
You can see the rain falling in this pictures (kind of like the effect), yet the kids are nice and dry under the bridge. I love how tiny they look next to the bridge.
Almost got a perfect shot here, if only Autumn had smiled a little more. Still love this shot, though.
Another favorite. They are just adorable together when they get along! 😉
The rain turned into sprinkles, so we let the kids play underneath the bridge in the creek. It really is such a lovely place to play and explore.
I love this photo of Autumn playing with her umbrella in the creek as if its a boat.
Brian teaching the kids how to skip pebbles over the water… and, they both did it!
Autumn running around in the creek. Ha!
I do love these two boys so much. 🙂
Can’t wait to take these two back to the covered bridge next year.
AND, since I am trying to do a blog post for each day of our staycation, I’ll share with you what we did earlier in the day… We went to Buffalo Wild Wings, because the kids both earned FREE lunches there when they completed the Library Reading Program. They actually had a lot of options for kids meals! I enjoyed my favorite beer- Stella (sadly, I did not finish it… I so did not need a 20 oz’er midday!) with wings and fries. Yum!
Autumn and her little meal.
Then, after lunch we went to Baked Goods Pottery… both kids earned a 4″ tile they could paint for free with the Library Reading Program. Sweet, huh? Look at all of the colors they had to pick from!
Nathan painted an ‘N’ on his tile.
And, Autumn did a bunch of random things… like polka dots and wiggly lines. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!
