The week leading up to Christmas is a super busy week… today was Autumn’s class party at her school and tonight is the Christmas play! I signed up to bring a snack for Autumn’s party and since the girl LOVES ice cream, I knew that I would not disappoint in bringing an easy Reindeer Ice Cream treat. This treat was so easy to make, I brought a tub of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, candy cherries, a bag of pretzels and chocolate chips.
To make it even easier, I made up a little ‘reindeer’ bag for each kid prior to the party. Inside it was the nose, a pretzel broken in half (antlers) and two chocolate chips for eyes. I handed out the bags to each kid before we gave them their scoop of ice cream and told them they were going to make a reindeer out of ice cream. They were all so excited!
A couple of pictures of Autumn enjoying her ice cream reindeer.
And not only did they make reindeer ice cream, they made reindeer hats, too! Sorry this photo is blurry, one of the Dad’s was playing music and all of the kids were dancing and hopping around… I can’t believe I got her to stand still for a half second! LOL!
Gift swap time! Each child brought in a $5.00 gift, a girl gift for a girl and a boy gift for a boy.
Autumn’s gift was a Lego set with a dog house and a little Lego dog, she loved it. She is so into Legos right now, she is getting a big box of Legos for Christmas, too.
When we went out to the hall to gather our stuff up to leave, they had all of the kids backpacks on the floor by their cubby’s. The backpacks were open with TONS of goodies inside! Autumn was so excited about this… she got gobs of candy, but in addition to that she got a religious coloring book and a couple of books about the birth of Jesus. We need more of these books at home to read about the true meaning of Christmas, so this was great!
