I cannot believe that after this week, I’ll be into an entire month of meal planning. It is exciting to take one of your goals for the year and succeed at it! Plus, Brian and I have really noticed that the kids aren’t complaining about not having chicken nuggets, pizza, etc. for dinner every night… they are actually trying new foods and enjoying them!
Last week I really, really enjoyed the Spinach Alfredo Crock Pot Lasagna! Oh my! It was delicious! Once again, I will share some photos of the foods I made from last week and if you are interested in the recipes, you can find them from last weeks meal plan, click HERE.
Menu Plan for Week of March 9, 2014:
Sunday – Chinese
(Every other week we order Chinese to go, yum!)
Monday – Spaghetti, Green Salad & Homemade Rolls
Tuesday – Cilantro Lime Baked Shrimp, recipe HERE
I didn’t make this recipe last week, because we had leftovers with the quiche and decided to eat it for two nights. So, I am making it on Tuesday!
Wednesday – Breaded Pork Chops and Mashed Potatoes
This is a really simple recipe where I bread the pork chops with Italian bread crumbs, milk and butter then I through them in the oven. Serving them up with my Mom’s mashed potatoes, which Autumn LOVES.
Thursday – Buffalo Chicken Sliders and Green Salad, recipe HERE
I love anything with buffalo sauce! This is a new recipe that I can’t wait to try!
Friday – Nathan’s Hot Dogs, Corn on Cob & Cucumber Salad
Nathan’s hot dogs are my favorite and it is my son’s name, so of course I love them. I love the cucumber salad recipe in my Betty Crocker cook book and have made it a thousand times.
Saturday – Bubble Up Pizza and Green Salad, recipe HERE
I used to make bubble up pizza for the kids all the time when they were younger and then I stopped. Going to try out this recipe again and I hope they dig in!
Dessert of the Week: Thin Mint Cookie Bars from Lucky (recipe) link up, recipe HERE
Photos from last weeks meals:
Sorry, I didn’t take a lot of photos of the meals from last week… it was a really hectic week, so just preparing them was all I had time for! lol!
I have been trying several of Pioneer Woman’s recipes from her new cookbook and this Orange-Vanilla Fruit Salad was DELICIOUS! Such a light and perfect fruit salad for the Spring, you have got to run out and get her recipe book and make it RIGHT NOW.
