Can you believe this is the 12th freezer meal I have shared in ‘This Month’s Freezer Meal’ series on the blog? Well, as I have mentioned before… we are going to move on to a different series starting in January. I already have the theme selected for the series I plan to do in 2015, so stay tuned! Hate to leave you hanging, but that is what makes it fun, right?! So, for our last freezer meal I am going to share a freezer to crock pot traditional chili.
The full recipe is at the bottom of this post. First, you’ll brown the beef and onions in a pan.
Add all ingredients together in a big pot, bring to a boil then simmer on low for an hour.
Let the chili cool in the refrigerator and then once cool, split in half by dividing into two freezer bags. Then place the bags in the freezer. When you are ready to enjoy your chili, thaw it out in the refrigerator about 2 days prior to the night you want to serve it. Then, throw it in a crock pot for 4 hours on low. If you are in a rush for time, warm it in a pan on the stove on medium heat for about 20-25 minutes.
