Today is October 1st and we are having temps in the mid-80’s here in St. Louis. Say what?! I know… I went outlet shopping weeks ago and I haven’t been able to wear any of it, because of these warm temps! However, last weekend my husband and I decided to try a Thai restaurant that I’ve never been to and I thought I would wear a nice fall transitional outfit. I thought this outfit would be perfect, because usually it cools off in the evening on these fall days. I purchased this striped vest from Gap Outlet, because I love stripes… but, I REALLY love black and white stripes!! Black and white stripes go with everything!!!
Here is the vest from when I was trying it on in the store… I really wish those camo pants had worked out, I need a pair… but, they were out of my size and the size up was just too slouchy on me! I did buy those leopard kickers 🙂 Oh, and this is what my curly hair looks like natural… I usually style it a bit with a flat and curling iron to shape it up a bit, but it is all natural in these photos (with LOTS of taming product on it!).
I’ve had the mid-length sleeve striped shirt in grey and white since my last outlet shopping trip. I really love how it looks under the vest, but I also love how the colored striped shirt looks under it (in the shopping trip photo above), too. I really can see this vest being styled to death this fall and winter, so be prepared to see it in more then one style post.
This gold link bracelet that I purchased from Charming Charlie is definitely my favorite bracelet right now. I added a red bracelet for a little pop of color… although, it is the only red I have on for this outfit. I really want to get a spiky cluster gold bracelet still, that may be next on my bracelet shopping list.
I wore this outfit with my favorite skinny jeans from Shade… a sister company to Gymboree that sadly went out of business. I am looking for another pair or two of skinny jeans, can anyone recommend their favorite brands? I may just look at Gap Outlet.
And, in the Fall I seem to wear my Sperrys A LOT… for some reason, the Fall season seems to be the best season for Sperrys! In the winter I seem to go more for boots and in the summer sandals and flip flops… but, the Fall is all about Sperrys! I love this pair, because it is more on the neutral side with the tan leather and the gold sparkle and gold laces. And, y’all know I love me some gold!
What I’m Wearing:
Striped Vest – Gap Outlet
Striped Shirt – Gap Outlet
Skinnies – Shade (out of business)
Shoes – Sperrys in Gold
Bracelets and Earrings – Charming Charlie
Monogram Necklace – Bauble Bar
I feel these transitional outfits are kind of simple… hoping when the temps cool that I can bring out some more exciting outfits!! It was so hot this weekend, I almost broke out the shorts… It is supposed to cool off this weekend, thankfully in time for my sixth half!! Temps in the mid-sixties is perfect running weather IMHO. Have a great Thursday!
