Welcome back to another week of our Motivational Monday Link Up Party! I hope everyone had a delicious Thanksgiving and had time to reflect on everything they are thankful for in their lives. I know I am thankful for Christ, my health, my loving family, friends and the blogging community.
After Thanksgiving, we started on our Christmas decorating. Of course, we ran into a little trouble when our 6 year old prelit tree had several sections that would not light up. After the husband fooled with it for 2 hours, we decided it was time to go to Lowes and get a new one. I am in LOVE with our new tree, so no regrets… but, it did set me back a little on my Christmas decorating! I am excited to have a couple of friends over this Monday for a crafting session at my home and a cookie exchange. Is anyone else looking forward to any special festivities this week?
Highlights from Curly Crafty Mom This Week:
I thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the crafts I did last Christmas. I made the kids a homemade advent calendar in two muffin tins and sealed each one with two pieces of scrapbook paper (the middle one being chalkboard paper) that I cut with my Cricut. I numbered each tin for what day of the month it was and added a little gift or piece of paper with instructions inside each tin.
I also updated my porch by tearing off all of the old decorations on our pine wreath and I purchased two mini trees that light up. I then made decorations for them out of scrapbook paper, new bows and put ornaments on them in Christmas colors.
The kids are and I had making ‘Easy Plastic Snow Globes’ and our ‘Light Up Snowmen Ornaments’. The plastic snow globes were found at Michaels and we made top hats with the leftover chalkboard paper from the Advent Calendar. The snowmen ornaments are made from battery tea lights, so their noses light up.
Stay tuned for the Christmas crafts I have planned for this month. 🙂

Meet Your Hosts
Ready to share what has been motivating you this past week? Link up a recent post of yours, something that motivates you to create or just be awesome! Our goal is for this link up to focus on craft, DIY, & home posts so please try to remember that when linking up.
- Limit it to three links per week and remember to link directly to your post, not your blog.
- Do not link stores, giveaways, or other link parties.
- Be sure to hop around some of the other posts that have been linked up to share the love and get motivated by what others have been up to…because of course, this is Motivational Monday after all.
Each week, your hosts will choose a few posts to feature from the previous week. If you want a chance at being featured, you must follow all of the hosts. By linking up, you agree to let each host share your photo and link back to your site. Link party goes live Sunday 6pm PST and ends Thursday at 5pm PST.

Laundry Room Reveal from Joy in Our Home
The laundry room reveal from Kendra will knock your socks off… just in time to load them into the washer, right? 😉 My favorite part of her laundry room is the shelves her husband built for everyones coats and shoes. There are multiple hooks to hang coats, bags, etc. on and the drawers on the bottom will fit several pairs of shoes. I need this in my home! She also said her husband really has no carpentry skills, but figured this all out on his own! I would say he gets some brownie points!
Cozy Living Room from Making It In The Mountains
If you are looking for a way to get the cozy on in your home this fall (and almost winter), then check out this post by Kristi. She recommends several different ways and shares some adorable grain sack pillows from Wayfair.
