So, I thought I would share some photos from last weekend when my little princess was a flower girl!! I am also including the Meal Plan from this week, too at the bottom of this post. Wow, this is sort of a weird post… Giveaway, Flower Girl Photos and a Meal Plan! Well, bare with me… especially if you want to see cute photos of Autumn (and the bride was really beautiful, too!!)
This last weekend, Autumn got to be a flower girl for the second time! We had to travel for the wedding, it was only an hour and a half outside St. Louis in Rolla, MO. She did really good, I was so proud of her!
Before we drove to Rolla, we did a little visit to Sweet and Sassy to get Autumn’s nails and hair done! She really loved getting her nails done, she selected a dark pink and then a sparkly pink to add to the top of it. Then, we had a little trouble agreeing on her hair… I had told her she could get any style she wanted, but I didn’t think she’d want a style that was down! She has naturally curly hair and it rained and spitted the entire day… I didn’t want her hair to frizz or get puffy, so I told her it had to be up, but she could decide on two braids and if the up-do part was in the back, up high or low or on the side. Whew. Well, they started putting her hair up and she didn’t like the (fifty!!) or so pins they had to put in… it was hurting her, so she had a few tears near the end. She went here on her birthday and had an up-do (a bow-tie one) and was fine… so, I sort of wonder if the tears were, because I didn’t let her get her hair done exactly how she wanted it. Sigh… oh, to be a girl mom… it can be tough. She sure was cute, though when they finished her hair.
When we arrived at the church, Autumn got a little gift from the bride. A flower girl Precious Moment (my mom collects them and I have several of hers) and a little blue locket bracelet. She was so thrilled!
Waiting at the church… we waited for quite awhile, but Autumn did really good. It was really cold in the church and I started to feel icky again… and, guess what? I came down with another cold! UGH. I was just starting to feel better and then I had to get sick again… and, I am still sick with it. I think my immune system was just low from being sick at Christmas and that is why I caught it. Who knows. I am just so thankful the kids are well… Mom can be sick, but I don’t want my babies to be sick! Brian was fine at the wedding, but came down sick the day after. He’s still sick, too! Poor us!
They did some photos inside the church before the wedding… we didn’t know who the ring bearer was, but Autumn sure was interested in him! ha!
Here are the wedding flowers… I love the wintery look/colors in the bridesmaids bouquets, she used babies breath and lambs ear.
Getting ready to go out! This was when I sat down. 🙂
Autumn walking down the aisle as a flower girl. Isn’t she just adorable? Oh, my heart melts 🙂
Autumn did really good… she kind of surprised me, because she didn’t go back and sick down and stood up there with the bridesmaids. I kept motioning for her to come and sit, but she shook her head no. Finally one of the bridesmaids asked her to sit, it was after the sermon! LOL! I think she was ready to sit down, but was worried to do it during the sermon… so, when the bridesmaid told her she could sit down, she came running to me and sat down. lol. Poor girl 🙂
After the wedding, we did some more photos then headed to the reception hall. They had some nice appetizers and I got to work on Autumn’s hair… she wanted it down, but we left the braid in… there was A LOT of pins we took out of her hair. I can’t believe how good the hair stylist was at hiding them, because I didn’t even notice them in her hair.
Me and my pretty girl… I can totally tell I am getting sick by how I look in this picture. 🙁
Nathan always loves seeing his cousins. They talked about Minecraft a lot. I’m always happy when he has someone other than me to discuss Minecraft with… 🙂 (sorry, Nathan!!)
Kids love to dance at weddings… this is evidence right here!
Brian and Aut
Nathan and I ordered kiddie Shirley Temple cocktails! They were so good… who can resist all those cherries?!
There was also a dessert table (in addition to the cake), where you could make your own little bag of candy.
A cupcake I enjoyed and a bag of candy.
We really enjoyed the wedding and I was exited that Autumn got a part in Heidi’s wedding! Heidi is Brian’s cousin, she was too sweet to think of Autumn.
