This is my second Ipsy bag y’all and I am in LOVE!! I almost think this is my favorite bag yet… this one included three full size products, not just samples! Eek! If you haven’t heard about Ipsy before, it is a mail subscription that sends you a new makeup pouch each month along with 5 products to sample. And, the kicker? It is ONLY $10 a month! It is also fun to see what others get, because not everyone gets the same products… you fill out a questionnaire and they base your products off of your answers. Sweet!
So are you ready to hear what I received in my Ipsy bag?
Hikari Cosmetics – Mechanical Eye Liner in Slate Grey
I was really excited to receive an eyeliner in a grey color, because I have been loving grey this season. I thought it was just OK… the color doesn’t show up over your eyeshadow until you apply it several times.
I would rate it 3/5 stars.
La Fresh Eco-Beauty Be Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer
This is a natural moisturizer that isn’t made with questionable ingredients. What makes it even better is helps protect your skin from anti-aging. I really enjoyed how light and refreshing this felt on my skin and it has a wonderful smell when you first put it on. I have been wearing this in the evening after I wash my face with my clarisonic. The only draw back on this product is that I can’t wear it during the day, because it doesn’t include any sunscreen.
I would rate it 4/5 stars.
(Malin+Goetz) Mojito Lip Balm
I didn’t think I would love this product… oh, yay… another lip balm. But, wow, this lip balm is awesome! I wouldn’t say it tastes or smells like a mojito, though… I love how glossy this feels on my lips and it says put for hours. It is now my new on the go lip balm and is in my purse. 🙂
I would rate it 4.5/5 stars.
Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo
I have only tried this product once and I tried it under my foundation (which is a pretty light foundation) and it didn’t really show up. I think I may try MIXING it in a dab of foundation and apply it next time, instead of wearing it under my foundation. I also want to try wearing it as a blush. However, I think I am going to save this for our summer vacation in Florida and wear it on my chest and arms for a nice little glo!
I would rate it 1/5 stars.
Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Treasure
This is a natural eye shadow infused with coconut water to give it a velvety cream-like finish. I saw that they offered this eye shadow and two different colors and I was excited to receive it in the more vibrant color, Treasure. This is a coppery and glitzy color that is neutral and goes with a lot of my outfits. I wear this when I want my eye shadow to stand out a little more, yet the color definitely isn’t overkill… and, I love eyeshadows, so I was really pleased to receive this one. I only rate items 5 stars if I would BUY them on my own… since I really love my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, I can’t say I would go out of my way to buy this again.
I would rate it 4.5/5 stars.
The bag I received was really cute… I actually saw one lady monogrammed her bag on both sides and I thought WOW, that could be me once I figure out vinyl on my Silhouette Cameo. 🙂 The bag is white on one side and blue on the other side with a coral zipper.
I am really enjoying Ipsy and I will continue this subscription for a year. I am kind of thinking I may try a different subscription package each year so a little variety… but, Ipsy is definitely all mine for 2015! I really loved how I received three full size products this month and the variety of them. I saw that some ladies received liquid eye gel liner and I was a little jelly that I didn’t get that in my bag! I must say, when I see that pink bubble wrapped package in my mail box, I get so excited to see what is inside!
