Well, I am on month THREE of receiving my monthly Ipsy bag and I must say… when I see that pink bubble wrap in the mailbox, I squeal with excitement! If you haven’t heard about Ipsy before, it is a mail subscription that sends you a new makeup pouch each month along with 5 products to sample. And, the kicker? It is ONLY $10 a month! It is also fun to see what others get, because not everyone gets the same products… you fill out a questionnaire and they base your products off of your answers. Sweet! If you’re interested, you can sign up under me, by clicking HERE and I’ll earn some points. Thanks!
So are you ready to hear what I received in my Ipsy bag?
CARGO Cosmetics – Mini Lip Gloss in Anguilla
I really love the color of this lip gloss, it is a really pale pink and will look great on my lips this Spring! I have actually been wanting a lip gloss in this color, so it worked out great! I want to try this lip gloss over a darker pink lipstick, too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesn’t seem to stay on long and it doesn’t blend easily on my lips… I have to even it out with the applicator several times before it looks flawless.
I would rate it 4/5 stars.
Hey Honey Take It Off! Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask
This was my favorite product in my Ipsy bag this month! I was also surprised when the company replied to my post on Instagram (see above), talk about great customer service! I did watch the video on how to apply this mask, but my daughter was distracting me and I missed the step where you need to apply a thin layer of lotion on your face before applying the peel off mask. I had a little trouble (but, not much) at removing the mask in one piece, but it all came off after I washed my face and my face felt SO clean, soft and fresh! I am hoping to get two more uses out of my little tube that they sent me. It exfoliates with Alpha Hydroxy Acids and moisturizes your face with honey extract. Pure bliss! If I wouldn’t have had this in my Ipsy bag, I would have been totally jelly over the others that did! Do any of you ever get jealous when you see what others got in their Ipsy bags? 😉
I would rate it 5/5 stars.
Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush 504
I really love this brush! How can you not like an adorable pink handle and how it shows the color of what you are applying on the tip of the white bristles? I am using this with the blush I received in my bag and it goes on so smooth.
I would rate it 5/5 stars.
ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder in Cosmopolitan (a ballerina pink)
Honestly, when I first saw this blush I thought it looked cheap. But, when I applied it I love, love, LOVED the pink color! This is pale pink and will look great this Spring, especially with the pink lip gloss they sent me in this bag, too! I have been wearing this blush over my Bobbi Brown blush that I normally wear, because I love the color so much.
I would rate it 5/5 stars.
Rob Scheppy ‘Tini Beauty Eye Shadow in Pearl Fizz
This is a a beige colored eye shadow and it goes on nicely… I felt kind of ho-hum about this eye shadow. The color will go great with the coppery coconut eye shadow I got last month.
I would rate it 3/5 stars.
The bag they sent this month was really vibrant… I don’t have a lot of uses for the Ipsy bags, so my daughter gets most of them. However, she colored on the one I got this month… guess I definitely won’t be using it now 🙂 I would love to hear what everyone does with all of their Ipsy bags…
I am really enjoying Ipsy and I will continue this subscription for a year. I am kind of thinking I may try a different subscription package each year so a little variety… but, Ipsy is definitely all mine for 2015! I really loved how I received three full size products this month and the variety of them. I saw that some ladies received liquid eye gel liner and I was a little jelly that I didn’t get that in my bag! I must say, when I see that pink bubble wrapped package in my mail box, I get so excited to see what is inside!
