Welcome back to another week of our Motivational Monday Link Up Party! Last week was rough as we had another round of sickness that fell upon the house. Just the kids this time (knock on wood)… but, Autumn got the stomach bug, then Nathan got a nasty cold with a fever that aggravated his asthma and then HE got the stomach bug. Autumn missed one day of school and Nathan missed three and then was starting to feel better and now got the stomach bug this weekend. I am exhausted and frustrated as we had a really bad round of sickness in December and early January. I’m tired of this crud. Tired. And we have a mini-vacation coming up soon and I am just keeping my fingers and toes crossed that we are all well for it.
I did get some projects out this week, but mainly because they were done the week prior… I love it when I am a week ahead on the blog… except, after this last week… I am no longer ahead of anything! But, oh well… life goes on… I shared two fun Valentine posts this week, one was a Wine Cork Ombre Heart (who doesn’t have wine corks laying around?) and the other was a mug of Homemade White Hot Chocolate with Heart Marshmallows. YUM! And… the outfit of this week included a fun Herringbone PUFFER. 🙂

Valentine Tin Cans with Burlap
It is so fun to shop the burlap ribbon aisle, but I had not seen burlap with adorable red hearts printed on them. Marti has been saving her vegetable tin cans for awhile now and decided to wrap them in this beautiful Valentine burlap ribbon. These would make beautiful table centerpieces filled with flowers or candles.
Furniture Makeover – French Provincial Sideboard
Gilly took this piece of furniture that was an UGLY burgundy color and repainted it with Annie Sloan Chalk paint in two colors that gave it a beautiful finish. I have been dying to try Annie Sloan Chalk paint for myself! When you open the drawers there is a third color that she used, a gorgeous teal! She sold this piece and if she hadn’t, I would want it for my home! It is amazing what a little love can do to an old piece of furniture.
