It seems that blanket scarves were made to be worn as cardis during these frigid months of winter. I thought I would try this look with a red plaid blanket scarf that I purchased from ON earlier this winter, a hunter green blouse, black skirt and my bright red Hunters. I had my husband take these photos of me outside after an all night ICE storm and I was SO warm snuggled up in my warm blanket scarf! This outfit is warm, cozy and stylish… definitely a look that will get me through until we get some warmer Spring temps in March!
What I love about this outfit, is that the blanket scarf has a hint of green in it and it really blends perfectly with the hunter green blouse I am wearing. I tried this outfit with black boots and the red Hunters make a huge difference when it comes to pulling in just enough red to make this outfit really pop. I love how vibrant and warm I look against the (yucky) ice that is all over the ground. I also paired my newish Michael Kors pleated leather bag with this outfit. I am in love with that purse… however, now that Spring is quickly approaching… I am on the look out for a blushing pink bag! Is there anything you are on the look out for the Spring?
To wear a scarf as a cardi, it works best if your blanket scarf is SQUARE… mine, sadly… was not. However, instead of folding it into a triangle, I just bunched it up at the top and put it on and wrapped my belt around it and untucked it a little… thankfully, it worked really well.
I’m also wearing my new renegade cluster bracelet from Stella & Dot that my hubby gifted me for V-Day. 🙂
What I’m Wearing…
Blanket Scarf – Old Navy
Green Hunter Blouse w/ Gold Wings – Stitch Fix
Black Skirt – Express
Red Hunters – Nordstrom
Black Pleated Leather Bag – Michael Kors
Red Bracelet – Charming Charlie
Renegade Cluster Bracelet – Stella & Dot

Guest Co-Host:This week I welcome Christina from Sweet Haute as our Guest Co-Host! Christina shares a love for fashion and DIY/crafts, so you’ll see a little of both on her blog. She lives by ‘La Dolce Vita, ‘the sweet life’ and and does so by enjoying life with lots of laughter, surprising loved ones, not being afraid to SMILE, being a go-getter and enjoying being a mom. Be sure to check out her blog if you haven’t already.Jill and I will each select a Top Two each week… visit both of our blogs to see if YOU were chosen. This week I chose Shauna from Lipgloss and Lace.
Shauna is wearing pale pink colors with her beautiful coat and hand bag. These soft pink hues and the scarf tied to her hand bag make me think of Spring. I was excited when I read all three of these were purchased at H&M, one of my favorite stores! She is wearing double stud earrings (I just recently got a pair!) and I love how they match her bracelet.
I also wanted to share a little blurb about some cologne that Influenster sent my husband to try…
Reveal is a new cologne out by Calvin Klein and I was sent a tester to give to my husband to try. My husband has been wearing the same cologne since he was a young adult… I was really excited at a chance to smell something different on him. I really enjoy this cologne on him, it isn’t too strong yet has an enticing aroma that is a little sweet and aquatic.
