Today I wanted to share a little Spring Home Tour on the blog with y’all! Now… I’ll be honest, I just got all of our Easter and Spring decorations up this past weekend… and, Easter is THIS Sunday! But, most of the items will work for Spring, too… so, I don’t think I’ll be taking many things down after this Sunday. This tour only includes the inside of the home, because I really don’t want to take pics of our outside area when I can’t plant any beautiful annual flowers until after Mother’s Day. But, I think the inside photos will do and hopefully you’ll get some inspiration for your home.
We’ll start at the front of the house and you’ll see I have a pot of clover leftover from St. Patrick’s Day. Behind the door is a beautiful piece that Brian’s mom made that we had framed, she did a crochet of our last name. You can only see a glimpse of it here.
I found this tree slice at a local nursery and added a burlap bow to it, a little chalkboard paint and added our family monogram in chalk (see original post HERE). I usually bring this indoors during the cooler months, but it’ll probably be going back out on the porch soon. I also have a little bunny and some eggs on the bottom of our indoor tree.
If you go towards the kitchen, you’ll see one of my favorite pieces in the house to decorate for each holiday… our buffet rack! You’ll see that it is quite decked out in this photo with lots of little spring details.
I added something new to it this year… at Hobby Lobby they had these adorable chalkboard eggs. I passed it up the first time I saw it in the store and regretted it and yanked it off the shelf the second time around. I had to have this chalkboard egg and I had no idea what I was going to do with it! When it came time to decorate the house for Easter and spring, I still had no clue what to write on it… I decided to nestle it in a basket and I even added a burlap bow that I had laying around (I have several bows I make to put on family gifts and reuse them over and over). I was going to write Hoppy Easter on it, but didn’t want to have to redo the chalk after a week, so Hoppy Spring it was!! Brian bought me some chalkboard pens awhile back and I really love all of the different color choices I have.
I mean seriously, isn’t this the cutest Easter egg you’ve ever seen? I am in love… somehow a big ole burlap bow always makes something look extra adorable!
Last year I got this little pink ceramic egg plate at Hobby Lobby. I think last year I displayed dyed eggs (real ones) in it and this year I decided to display some of my extra ceramic eggs in it.
Just a couple more detail shots of some items on the buffet rack that I love… a brush bunny and my Target dollar spot Easter tree (purchased the ornaments at Hobby Lobby). Oh, and Autumn’s S’mores bunny… there is a S’mores for every holiday these days, isn’t there?
Next is the kitchen… which, I just purchased this industrial wire basket and filled it with Easter goodies. You can see the full details on its own blog post HERE. Oh, and I think it was decided that everyones favorite egg is the orange one with the pom pom ribbon. 🙂
So, I don’t go super crazy for spring… I didn’t change the decor on our coffee table in the family room, but I do for the fall and Christmas. It is still displaying its neutral decor in this gold mirror tray that I purchased awhile back at Hobby Lobby. I did take a trip recently to Bath and Body Works and bought some yummy and smelly goody spring candles! I have the Pineapple Palm Grass candle burning in this photo and isn’t it neat how the wax turns orange when it is hot and the rest of the wax is yellow? Never seen that before…
Ok, so I kind of go to Bath and Body Works each season… it just makes me happy when my house smells good. I really love the wallflowers and I usually don’t buy a new plug, but they had a pineapple one and I couldn’t resist. It even lights up! They are having a Hawaiian theme right now in the store, so a lot of pineapple, coconut and mai tai scents. I got B1G1 free on the big candles and had a 20% off coupon, so I didn’t spend a whole lot on what you see pictured above.
Ok, so I know this isn’t a great picture… but, I had to share my little pineapple wallflower outlet in action. SOOOO cute. Seriously. I’ll shut up now. 🙂
Now we will turn away from the family room and go back towards the hall to the living room. I always have a wreath on the door to our garage and it is always one I have made… I have a wreath making addiction and I have so much fun displaying something I’ve made on that door. I didn’t make a new spring wreath this year, because I love the split pea wreath I made last year so, so much.
This split pea wreath is one of the most popular wreaths I have done on the blog and I am glad, because it was a little time consuming and messy. But, it is as solid as a rock and has held up really well for two years now. Click HERE to see how to make one of your own.
This end table is one of my favorites in the house, because it displays some of our Paris memorabilia. I went pretty simple on decorating it, I have a green ceramic egg from Pottery Barn by the candle and I always display the kids Easter books propped up on one of the legs of the table. I also have a little carrot dish that I put Easter candy in, but it is in the dish washer.
The only other Easter decor I have done is I purchased this cute little white bunny with gold ears from Target. This is the big Pottery Barn shelf with baskets that we purchased for our master bath a couple of years ago. I almost have the entire master bath done for reveal pictures (it has been a long time coming), but I need to paint the vanity in there first. Its on my list to do SOON… There is a little pitcher vase on one of the shelves that I usually fill with fresh cuts from the garden, but we don’t have any yet (not even daffodils)… so, it is empty.
Here is a close up of the bunny… Target always has really nice spring decor… I hate that, because I want to load my cart up on it… yet, that wouldn’t be good for the bank account. 😉
Anyway, that is it for this year!! If you have a spring home tour, I would love to see it and be sure to leave it in the comments. I just got the kids Easter baskets done this weekend and hope to share them sometime on Instagram and the blog… I always go a little crazy with those baskets. 😉 Have a good one!
