Can you believe that the 4th of July is the Saturday after this one? We will be in Disney prior to the 4th, so I am not sure if the fireworks I see on the actual 4th of July will be as exciting as the fireworks they shoot off in the Magic Kingdom. 🙂 Disney has the whole fireworks thing mastered.
Today I wanted to share some 4th of July recipes and crafts with y’all! Let’s dive in!
DIY Patriotic Shutter by Hoosier Homemade
I have seen several flags made from palettes, but I have never seen a vertical flag done on a shutter! The rest of the patriotic decor on this porch isn’t shabby either!
Vodka Soaked Buzzed Cherry Bombs by Frosting and a Smile
Vodka makes everything better, right? I have seen this same sort of treatment done to strawberries in the past, but on a candy cherry that is soaked in vodka? Stop the train!
Burlap and Fabric Patriotic Banner by Curly Crafty Mom
This was one of the two 4th of July projects I created last summer. This banner is great for decoration and I also take 4th of July photos of my kids holding it up.
Starfish Stamped Patriotic Tea Towels by Dwelling in Happiness
These tea towels are so easy to make and so colorful! If you have a beach theme in your kitchen, they would be an even bigger hit. I love the idea of using starfish as stamps to create a star pattern for a patriotic towel.
Red, White and Blue Drink Station by Jenny Cookies
When I throw a party, sometimes I like to go all out… a red, white and blue drink cart? Why not! I also love the crate of mason jars with straws for everyone to pour their drink into… it doesn’t get more American than that.
Patriotic Cupcake Liner Wreath by The Gunny Sack
I am a wreath-making addict and lately I have been seeing a lot of cupcake liner wreaths. This wreath was done nicely with the contrast of the striped liners and patterned (blue with stars) liners.
Mason Jar Flag Centerpiece by Jonathan Fong at eHow
A floral mason jar centerpiece that represents the American flag? Yes, please!
Red, White and Blue White Wine Sangria Recipe by Growing Up Gabel
Sangrias are the perfect summer wine drink… why not add a little blue and red with your white wine by adding some fruit?
Scrappy Fabric Chalkboard by Curly Crafty Mom
I purchased this chalkboard from Kirkwood a couple years ago and it is so fun to decorate for the holiday! I made this scrappy fabric bunting for it to add a little visual interest and texture to it and I love how it looks on my front porch this time of year.
Fourth of July Snack Mix by Glorious Treats
And, last… a patriotic trail mix! Perfect if you have kids that are ultimate snackers. 😉
I hope all of these projects inspired you for the upcoming holiday! I know I had fun choosing which projects to feature here. Happy a happy and safe 4th of July holiday!
