Welcome back to another week of the Motivational Monday Link Up Party! This week Brian went to the Boathouse in Forest Park and did the Moonlight Paddleboat Picnic. It is a lot of fun and this is one of our summer traditions. We really need to start bringing extra food for the ducks that are begging for food, though! There was a little Momma and Baby Duck we couldn’t resist feeding. The Boathouse packs a picnic basket with wraps and other goodies (even dessert) for us and a bottle of Pinot Noir. Its always a fun night! We paddle the boat to the Grand Basin by the art museum and watch the fountains and the sunset. It is always such a romantic evening and I’m always sad when it ends!
Our kids ALSO had their FIRST SLEEPOVER. And, no… I didn’t get much sleep that night! Nathan and Autumn got to pick a friend from school to have over and we ordered Happy Joe’s pizza, they went swimming, played and watched Big Hero 6. The last kid was out around 11 or 11:30 p.m.! WHEW! I really thought they’d be in bed sooner, but NOPE.
Here are some photos from their fun sleepover:
This week I am sharing my Meal Plan for the week a little early… I usually do it on Friday, but there is a conflict this week. 🙂 So, after you get some dinner ideas, be sure to link up some of your fun projects from this week. 🙂
Meal Plan Week 68
BBQ’ing is what’s hot for dinner this summer!
Wednesday – Tacos
It seems we are having a lot of pasta-type dishes this week. Thats ok 🙂 This zucchini lasagna is one of my FAVORITE meals to make, but it takes forever. Thankfully, it makes enough for leftovers for the next day, which is rare in our house.
My husband and I had our FIRST date (with his parents the day after my 13th birthday) on a Mississippi riverboat. So, it is fun to relive it and go on a riverboat dinner cruise every now and then. 🙂

Meet Your Hosts
Ready to share what has been motivating you this past week? Link up a recent post of yours, something that motivates you to create or just be awesome! Our goal is for this link up to focus on craft, DIY, & home posts so please try to remember that when linking up.
- Limit it to three links per week and remember to link directly to your post, not your blog.
- Do not link stores, giveaways, or other link parties.
- Be sure to hop around some of the other posts that have been linked up to share the love and get motivated by what others have been up to…because of course, this is Motivational Monday after all.
Each week, your hosts will choose a few posts to feature from the previous week. If you want a chance at being featured, you must follow all of the hosts. By linking up, you agree to let each host share your photo and link back to your site. Link party goes live Sunday 6pm PST and ends Thursday at 5pm PST.
Feel free to grab a Motivational Monday button in the sidebar to put on your own blog if you want to help spread the love!
I have been wanting to try my hand at making some tassel, agate and druzy necklaces lately to save a little money… And, who doesn’t love to play with colorful beads? When I saw this tutorial on Boxwood Avenue, I realized just how easy it was to make these beautiful necklaces and I ran straight to Hobby Lobby. You’ll want to make our own too after reading her tutorial.
