Hi everyone! I wanted to let you know that today’s post and tomorrows post will be the only posts (besides the Creative Corner link up post I did yesterday) that will be on the blog this week. I am going to take the rest of the week off to spend with my family for Thanksgiving. I rarely take breaks from the blog and as much as I love y’all… I am really looking forward to this little break!
Today I am revealing my FIFTH Stitch Fix box… it has been OVER a year since my last Stitch Fix! My only excuse for not doing a box is that I’ve been busy and I just didn’t have time to sit down and schedule one. I am going to be better about it and try to schedule them more often. I want to try for every month, but I will probably skip the month of December… I just have TOO much going on next month, so I am planning to do another box in January.
And, my good blogging friend Lauren from Mom Home Guide is ALSO sharing her Stitch Fix box today! Be sure to stop by Lauren’s blog to see what she got in her box!
What is Stitch Fix?
Stitch Fix is sort of like having your own personal shopper! You fill out a survey online (it includes photos of different outfits) and it helps them decide which outfits and which price range you fit into. They send you 5 pieces (tops, bottoms, accessories, jewelry, etc., etc.) and you decide which items you want to keep. After you’ve decided what you want to keep, you ship the rest back within 3 business days. If you buy all of the items you get a discount. There is a monthly fee of $20 that you will lose if you do not buy any of the 5 items. But, if you buy just one item they will subtract that $20 from your order.

Are you ready to see my items?
Item One
Market & Spruce – Sawyer Space Dye Dolman Sleeve Knit Top in Burgundy – $58.00
I mentioned in my notes that I really like the color burgundy right now, so that is why they sent me this knit top. It is such a beautiful color and I love it with the white puffer vest and without it. I wore my leather lined leggings and leopard flats and this outfit is comfortable and stylish at the same time. This top is also the perfect length to wear with leggings. I am going to be sending it back, though… because, I had too many favorites this time and my goal is to only keep one piece per Stitch Fix box.
Item Two and Three
Market & Spruce – Denver Cable Knit Elbow Patch Cardigan – $58.00
Mavi – Freida Skinny Jean – $98.00
These jeans may look a little dark (almost black) in some of the photos, but they are navy colored. I am definitely purchasing these jeans. They are priced at $98.00 which is A LOT for jeans, but I have a $50 credit I’ll be using, which will make them a price I can afford. They fit perfectly and I have been needing a new pair of skinny jeans, so I am not sending these back. We all know how hard it is to find the perfect pair of jeans! I was looking for a pair that would be a dark wash or denim color, but I think navy will actually be a fun color for a change.
The gray cardigan is really cute, too and it has leather elbow patches. The cardi is pretty thick, but it didn’t feel heavy when I wore it. It is incredibly soft and it fit nicely on me. I already have a marsala sweater that has elbow patches (the one I have layered under it!) and I can’t afford to buy all of these pieces, so I won’t be getting the cardigan.
Item Four
Market & Spruce – Chaplin Lined Hooded Anorak Jacket – $94.00
Ahhhh… I love this jacket, LOVE it. Since I’m not getting a Stitch Fix box in December, I am trying to tell myself to get TWO pieces this month instead of one. I really love that this jacket has a nice hood, too. I already have a military jacket, but it is a lighter one that is more of a layering piece… this one is longer and heavier. Darnit, why did Stitch Fix have to start carrying coats? They sent me this, because I asked them to send me a military vest, but they didn’t have one and sent this instead. Anyway, the verdict is still out on this one.
Item Five
Gilli – Tawnya Dress – $64.00
This was the piece that I pulled out of the box and thought it would be the item I would purchase… the windowpane pattern is what sold me on it. I tried it on and it IS really cute… but, I started to think that I really do have a lot of black dresses already. I wore it with a burgundy scarf in some of the photos, but decided to show it to you without the scarf. I am going to pass on this dress, but I may tell them to send me a dress again next time. ON had a really nice b/w poncho with this same windowpane pattern on clearance last week and I purchased it, so I feel I don’t need two items with the same pattern.
Well, that is it! I think they nailed it this time, since I’m having such a hard time deciding. I will probably purchase the jeans, which are the most boring item… but, they really are such a nice pair! The coat… I WILL talk myself out of… and, I’ll try and force myself to purchase something more exciting than just jeans in my next Fix! lol!
