Who says that mint is just a color for the spring? Today I have added some hints of mint to this otherwise neutral outfit. I was also sent a pair of Silver jeans to try out and we’ll actually be doing a giveaway with Silver jeans TOMORROW. So, be sure to stop back by! Jill at Doused in Pink is also sharing her Silver jeans today!
I wore this outfit last Saturday while I was trying to cross off a million items from my to-do list. It seems that December is always such a BUSY month and I just can’t seem to get things checked off fast enough. I have all of my Christmas shopping done (except for the hubs, he is so hard to buy for!) and now I need to have a wrapping party with myself, some Christmas music and a hot cup of Starbucks peppermint mocha!
I recently purchased this white puffer from ON and when it arrived I was a little disappointed. I was hoping it wouldn’t be as PUFFY as it is… I mean, I know it is a puffer, but I prefer the thinner ones. I decided to keep it, because I’ve been wanting a white puffer vest and it was fairly cheap. I guess as a bonus, I can wear it out and about in place of a coat and I’ll still stay warm in these 50 degree temps we’ve had in St. Louis lately. (Its going to be 68 on Saturday! Seriously!)
These jeans are really comfortable, they have a little bit of stretch to them… and, I always prefer a little stretch in my jeans! I also love the stitching and the detail on the pockets. The hubby couldn’t resist taking this photo. 😉 I added a skinny belt in mint for some contrast.
The shirt and scarf I have on are both from Express. The shirt is a little sheer and has a striped lace pattern. I should have taken a detail shot so you could see the lace. The scarf perfectly matches the tan stripes and has mint in it. I usually reserve this scarf for the early spring, but I really like how the mint works together in this outfit.
What I’m Wearing:
Silver Jeans – Suki Mid Slim Bootcut Rinse Wash
Striped Lace Top – Express (Old), Similar, Similar*
Mint and Tan Scarf – Express (Old), Similar, Similar*
White Puffer from Old Navy, and a Thinner Option
Brown Suede Ankle Boots – Gap Outlet (Old), Similar, Similar*
Skinny Mint Belt – Target (Old), Similar, Similar*
Hat – Scala Slouchy Beret in Silver
Full Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. A pair of jeans were gifted to me in exchange for this post. All opinions are 100% mine.
