This weekend we had Nathan’s 10th Birthday Party! He turns 10 on Tuesday and I am so proud of the young man he is becoming. I can’t believe he is going to be in the double digits… I can remember when he was 3 months old, how can he be almost 10? I love him so much and he made my day when he told me that this was the best birthday party he had ever had! Such a sweetheart!
Nathan is all into his electric trains again, so I did an electric trained themed family party for him. I kept the food pretty simple by ordering turkey with cheese and ham with cheese sandwiches, my poppyseed spinach strawberry salad, chips, sherbet punch and my mom made a veggie and fruit tray! I make a really awesome homemade veggie dip, too! For a game, I filled a piñata with some candy and small toys. Autumn got her brother a HUGE light up bubble gum machine with sounds this year. Nathan’s main gift was a Kato Amtrak Diesel engine and a camera to take movies ON his electric train track. He wanted a cookie cake this year for dessert. All in all a GREAT party!

Reclaimed Wood & Black Pipe TV Stand
Last week Rose from What Rose Knows shared her Reclaimed Wood & Black Pipe TV Stand. I have been wanting to redo our TV area in our family room and this gorgeous homemade TV stand really caught my eye. I love the rustic wood and clean lines of the piping and Rose did such an awesome job at decorating it, too! The natural elements of the plants in the tins on the bottom are so interesting!
