Becky at Choose Happy has been running a fun link up party called Currently. I join Becky for her Currently link up series once a month. I thought it would be a fun way to update everyone on my life in a light way through photos and blurbs of text.

Vacation
We just got back from our vacation at the Big Cedar in Branson a little over a week ago and I hope to have a recap of that trip on Friday. Next up is ITALY and we leave soon! I have been working on packing for the trip and have my outfits and shoes packed so far. I ordered a jewelry holder and a sling camera bag off of Amazon and once they arrive I will do some more packing. I don’t want to overpack, because we are flying into Rome and then taking two trains in-between Rome and Florence and Florence and Venice. Then we will fly out of Venice to return home. Whew! I am excited about our trip to Italy, but also nervous about being away from the kids for a week. I sure am going to miss them! If you want to see photos from my trip, be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and SnapChat (@curlycraftymom). After Italy, we won’t have another trip until October when I’ll be traveling to Chicago for my first marathon.
Exercise
Marathon training has been keeping me BUSY and I’ve pretty much dropped off on any other form of work out. I wish I could still do my Jillian workouts, but until the kids are back in school… I just don’t have time for it (unless I want to do it with them climbing all over me like monkeys… sigh.). Marathon training is 4 runs a week and 2 of those runs I am running with Fleet Feet. Yes, I am training with a group! I was really hesitant about signing up to run with a pace group, but it has been really fun and such a neat experience. I have done 3 long runs with my group so far and they already feel like second family. The coach of my group is A LOT of fun and really encourages us and I think that makes a big difference. On Tuesdays I meet up with them to do speed runs on the track and on Saturday mornings at 6:15 a.m. I meet with them to run at a different park each week. Even better yet, we always meet up for breakfast after our runs at some really cool breakfast places.
StriVectin
The folks over at StriVectin have been taking good care of me by sending me products for my hair and skin. Just recently they sent me their new Overnight Resurfacing Concentrate, which I have been putting on underneath their Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles and my regular night cream. I have been using this product for several weeks now and it really has helped the texture of my skin.
I used to be afraid to go out without makeup, but not anymore. I actually go without makeup a few times a week and I feel comfortable in my skin. I think its mainly because of the products that StriVectin has sent me! I have been a lot more confident about how my skin looks and just my general appearance since I’ve started wearing Invisalign to straighten my teeth. It’s nice to have radiant skin (and straight teeth!) for selfies! Ha! I am wearing makeup in this photo, but if you follow my blog you know I post shots of myself without makeup quite regularly… especially my running photos!
You can see my post about StriVectin’s hair products HERE and my post for their Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles HERE.
Reading
I usually finish a couple of books a month and generally read while I’m running on the treadmill. HOWEVER, I’ve been running outside a lot more these days and my reading is suffering! Since we are leaving for Italy soon with some pretty long flights, I hope to finally finish Hal’s Marathon Training Guide (I’m 60% through it) and also The Rosie Project. I may also add a third book to my kindle… but, I’ll be really happy if I can read these two this month. If you have a third book to recommend to me, leave it in the comments!
Blog Mention
I recently finished up my Curb Appeal Blog Hop series and I was thrilled when I saw that Lauren (Mom Home Guide) and I were featured on the Stencils and Stories Blog.
Lauren from Mom Home Guide is also sharing her Currently post today!
Be sure to stop by to check it out!
Well, that is all I have today. Be sure to join Becky in this link up series sometime, it is a lot of fun!
