Today I am sharing my May Peaches and Petals box. This has been my least favorite box so far and I’ll explain why when I show you detail shots of each of the items I received. Although, there were a couple of items in this box that I have been using quite often (such as the dish with the spoons), so this box was worth it overall.
I received the June box last week and I was glad to find that it was another GOOD box… so, I will keep this subscription service going for now.
However, I don’t know if I will promote it as much, since I had someone sign up under me and they only gave me 100 points for her, even though I should have gotten 500 points. I emailed them and she called and emailed them a few times with no luck. I’m not happy about THAT at all and it sort of makes me question if I should work on trying to get more points from referrals or even keep this subscription service. 🙁 Anyway, I just wanted to be honest with you all on that. If you want to sign up for this box, don’t expect your referral code to work and if they manually put in the points… you might not get the 500 that they say you will get. I don’t even understand how you redeem the points (other then for a 20% off coupon from their store), so maybe it isn’t a huge loss? I just don’t know.
Anyhow… I am sharing ANOTHER unboxing video. I am not sure how many of these I will do… because, I am sort of itching to do a different kind of video that doesn’t involve unboxing.
I didn’t do too many things differently with this video, except I tried to get my video time down to around 5 minutes instead of 11 minutes… I just think I lose everyones attention when the videos gets to be that long… it also takes a HECK of a lot of time to edit. Time I don’t have. I also still need to get a mic and possible new lens… I just haven’t had time with the kids off for the summer to do much researching. I will get there eventually!
I’d appreciate your support, please watch my video, subscribe to my channel, give me a thumbs up, share if you want and I love comments. I got a lot of comments, like and views on my last video THANKS to all of my supportive readers!!! I appreciate it so much! And, if there is any suggestions you have, leave it in the comments below or on You Tube!
So, here we go…
Peaches & Petals UnBoxing – May
A little about Peaches & Petals… Peaches & Petals is a subscription box and new to me. This is my second box with them. I share what I have received in this video AND in the photos pictured below (if you don’t have time to watch the video, or if you want more details). My review on my first Peaches & Petals box can be seen by clicking HERE and my second review you can see HERE.
What I like about Peaches & Petals is that they send you a HUGE monthly box. It isn’t just beauty products, but a variety of items for women. I already subscribe to Ipsy and it is nice to receive some ‘larger’ beauty products such as bath bombs and also other non-beauty items, such as mugs, adult coloring books, etc.
So, How Do You Get Signed Up?
You can use my referral code by clicking HERE and use one of these coupon codes for the June box! Please make sure to let me know in the comments if you do sign up, so I can make sure I earn the points for your referral (there has been some trouble with this in the past!).
Every box after your first box will be $19.99 per month. You can cancel your subscription at anytime.
May Items in Peaches & Petals Box
Party Tasting Set – This actually came with FOUR spoons, but I forgot to set the fourth one on in the photos. #bloggerfail This is one of my favorite items in the box, because I have used it for so many blog food photo shoots already! I either use the plate by itself or with the spoons or sometimes I’ll stick the spoons in another bowl as a ‘scooper’.
Melamine Cutting Board – I got this adorable turquoise and neon yellow cutting board. It is smaller than I normally use for a cutting board, but I will probably use it as a blog photo prop for my food posts. It would also be cute to set out some finger foods on it for a party.
May Box Surprise – In each box you get a surprise and it is different from box to box. I got this adorable set of 20 paper party straws. This would have been great for when I did my 12 months of drinks series last year!
Cocktail Napkins – I do like fun napkins, but these are just OK. I wish they had a few different napkins in the set, but they are all the same. In any case, they’ll get used. 🙂
Chalkboard Banner and Arrows – These two items I was just feeling hohum about in the box. I wasn’t really expecting party decor packages??? The chalkboard banner I did use for a blog post and it is neat that you can write on the banner in chalk, erase and reuse. I am not sure if I’ll get much use out of the arrows, though… The arrows are neat in that they come with chalk ‘rub ons’, which look much fancier than my messy handwriting!
Paper Medallions – More party decor packages? I really didn’t need 3 packages of them, that is 3 of my items… So, yeah… after pulling out three sets of party decor packages… I was done. I think these medallions will be cute for a future party or for a background for a blog post. We’ll see… You do have to assemble them, so I am not sure if I’ll even find time to do that!
Party Game – And… another item I wasn’t a big fan of… was a deck of cards with drinks on them. This would have been fun when I was in college, but with 2 kids and only time for a sip of wine here and there? They probably won’t ever get used. Oh well. I promise the June box was WAYYY better.
In the JUNE box, I received a summertime cover up! Stay tuned, because on June 21st, two other bloggers and myself will be styling our cover up!
And, don’t forget… if you want to subscribe to the box, you can use my referral code by clicking HERE and by using one of the referral codes listed above to get a discount on your first box!
