Did you know that you can help your child’s school earn extra cash by cutting off Box Tops from items that you already have at home? I started saving box tops for my kids school when they started preschool and I still collect and save them and they are going into 2nd and 5th grade now! My kids go to a Lutheran school, so the extra money really does help the teachers and school. Reynolds and Hefty Box Tops are a great place to start if you are looking for box tops to collect for school. And, at the bottom of this post I mention more about their “School Supplied” Sweepstakes and Daily Instant Win Game.
How Nathan’s Preschool Teacher Used Box Tops
Today I wanted to share a story with you about how Nathan’s teacher used box tops when he was in her preschool class for two years (and then Autumn was later). The kids school has box top competitions where the kids bring in box tops and whichever class brings in the most, they get a dress down day. Well, one year Nathan’s class did exceptionally well and his teacher got to purchase a special rug for the classroom, which you see in the photo above.
This rug has the alphabet on it and a square for each letter. Every morning, the kids would draw a popsicle stick with a letter on it and that would be the ‘square’ they would sit on during story time, etc. each day. This rug is something that Nathan’s teacher never would have been able to purchase if it hadn’t been for box tops and the kids thoroughly enjoy it and it is educational, too.
It is so easy to collect box tops for your school. I keep a little zipper bag in one of my kitchen drawers and every time we finish a product I will cut off the box top and put it into this bag. Then, when it gets full or when they have a box top drive at school, I have the kids bring it to school.
