We are trying to get in a back to school frame of mind over here, since the kids will be going back soon! We are already starting school extra curricular, such as cross country practice and my daughter is starting dance team classes. My son is in karate year round and I joined a training group and have been training for my first marathon. It’s already hectic around here and adding school to the mix will make it even busier. Sometimes a hectic morning, sore muscles from a run the day before or the first fall cold can throw a busy schedule all out of whack.
Today I wanted to share 5 Ways to Stay on Top of Your Families Activities During Busy Seasons.
The first way you can stay on top of your schedule is by keeping medicine on hand in the medicine cabinet, such as Children’s TYLENOL®, Extra Strength TYLENOL® or Ultra Strength BENGAY® Cream.
Shopping at Target for Essentials
I found the Extra Strength TYLENOL® and Children’s TYLENOL® in the Pain Relief aisle of Target.
The Ultra Strength BENGAY® Cream was in the First Aid aisle.
The second way you can stay on top of your families activities is to have a command center in the house. We use my office downstairs and this is where I keep my planner and where I spend a little time each morning and evening planning out our daily activites.
The third way is by having a thorough planner. I use my planner mostly for my blog planning, but I post 5 days a week and I work with a lot of companies/sponsors and it is a lot to juggle in-between our family activities and my own activities (such as marathon training!). This planner is nice, because it has a monthly page and a weekly page. It feels so good to check items off throughout the day!
The fourth way I keep on top of my families activities is having a Google Calendar that is shared with my husband. For instance, he saw that I have my graduation long training run coming up, yet he has to go to a conference for work. The kids have a cross country meet at the same time. He let me know when he scheduled his conference that we would need to find someone that would be able to take the kids to cross country (my parents). It really helps to share a calendar with him, we just have SO much going on that it is an essential.
The fifth way is to have this same shared Google calendar on my phone. This helps when I am at the doctor for the kids and I need to schedule another doctor visit for them. I can pull out my calendar to see what is open and type it right in.
