Have you ever had a close friend or family member call or text you to let you know they were stopping by soon to drop something off? Sometimes unexpected guests can be hard, because your house may look like a tornado! I am a mom of two kids and my house is always messy in-between visits from friends/family. But, I wanted to share my solution with you today and that is How to Spruce Up Couch Pillows in 5 Minutes!
Stocking Up Prior to Unexpected Visits
When I am at Walmart, I stock up on essentials I will need for when I might have unexpected guests over. You will find different options of the Scotch-Brite™ Brand in different sections of your Walmart store. For instance, I found mine in the Cleaning Aisle as you see pictured above.
In the Cleaning Aisle I Found:
Scotch-Brite™ Lint Roller:
60 sheet
60 sheet twin pack
Jumbo Lint 100-sheet
Scotch-Brite™ Printed Lint Roller, 55-sheet
Scotch-Brite™ 50% Stickier Lint Roller – (70 count + 10 bonus sheets) *NEW*
You can also find different options of the lint rollers in the Laundry Aisle, Sewing & Notions or Closet.
Spruce Up Those Couch Pillows in 5 Minutes!
You will want to keep your cleaning supplies in convenient, easy to reach areas. For instance, I keep a couple of Scotch-Brite Lint Rollers in one of the drawers to our console table.
By having the lint rollers in this drawer, I know I can open it up and walk a few feet over to the couch to where the couch cushions are. You would also want to keep your bathroom cleaning supplies close to the bathroom, so I keep mine either under the bathroom sink or in the linen closet. I know it can be nice to have all of your cleaning supplies in one place, but I find it to be quicker to have them spread out in quick to reach places. It also encourages you to clean that room more often. If I open the drawer to my console and see the lint rollers in there, I may take a few minutes to clean the cat hair off the pillows, lamp shades, etc.
Here is a picture of the couch AFTER I used the Scotch-Brite Lint Rollers. See how clean the pillows are? No cat hair!
However, it can be hard to keep up with Rose. She’s our rag doll cat that has LOTS and lots of fur.
This is what the black oversized pillow looks like when I don’t keep up with them. It is COVERED in her fur! The other pillows also had cat hair on them!
Thanks to Scotch-Brite Lint Rollers, I had all of the pillows cleaned in no time! I even fluffed them up and they looked much better!
What Did I Use?
Besides keeping your cleaning supplies in close to reach spots and using a lint roller to get all of the cat hair off your pillows, you can also use the different kinds of Scotch-Brite Lint Rollers to do different clean up duties in your home:
Scotch-Brite Lint Roller – Tears Cleanly Guaranteed!
The Scotch-Brite Lint Roller keeps clothes lint, hair and fuzz free. Use on pants, coats, sweaters, dresses, suits, formal wear and more.
They are the only lint rollers with Scotch™ adhesive.
70 count + 10 bonus sheets!
This lint roller is great for large debris pick-up such as pet hair and crumbs. This roller is excellent if you want to get pet hair off of your couch pillows, since it has 50% more adhesive!
It can do more than just pick up lint or pet hair, it can pick up crumbs, sand, and glitter to avoid having to take out the large vacuum cleaner.
This lint roller is fun to keep in my living room console, because it has such a fun print and design. It really goes well with the decor in the room, yet it still has wonderful performance. It has designs on every sheet.
After sprucing up the couch pillows, I like to light a scented candle and relax on the couch while I wait for my guest(s) to arrive.
