I spend A LOT of time in my car, especially since my kids have so many activities! I had no idea that my car has a cabin air filter! My husband knew, but we weren’t sure when we had changed it last. Did you know that FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter is the best choice for keeping the air inside your car as clean as possible? It’s the only cabin air filter that uses the natural deodorizing qualities of ARM & HAMMER® baking soda.
My kids have allergies and I like to protect them as much as I can against dirt dust and allergens. By changing my cabin air filter, I feel better in knowing that I am keeping my family safe and healthy during the many hours that we spend inside the car!
As a bonus, I am also sharing how to create your own Roll Up Glove Box Essentials Caddy, using a jewelry travel roll pouch! With as much time as we spend in the car, it helps to have some on the go essentials at my fingers tips!
Shopping for your FRAM Fresh Breeze® Cabin Air Filter
I will admit, I was a little nervous about going into Walmart to find the FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter. I had never been in the automotive department before! However, I found it in the air filter aisle and the green box gave it away!
I encourage you to use THIS site to see if your car has a cabin air filter, and if so, which filter to purchase.
This product should be changed annually or every 12,000 miles.
How to Change Your FRAM Fresh Breeze® Cabin Air Filter
Installation guides and times are provided by video and via written instructions on FRAMFreshBreeze.com. It was really easy and I didn’t even need my husband!
FRAMFreshBreeze.com provides a texting feature which allows your search results (installation videos and part number) to be sent to your phone for easy recall of search results. This way you have it on hand while you’re shopping.
Here are step-by-step directions on how I changed it in my car:
Pull your new FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter out of the box. In my car (2007 Honda CRV), the cabin air filter is stored behind the glove box. Open up the glove box and pop it out to reveal where the cabin air filter is stored.
Take the case that the old air filter is stored in and take it out and replace it with your new FRAM Fresh Breeze® cabin air filter. Then pop it back in and close up the glove box. Now you can enjoy your new cabin air filter!
Be sure to follow recommended change intervals as noted in your vehicle owner’s manual.
Creating Your Own Roll Up Glove Box Essentials Caddy
Now I’m going to show you how to make your own Roll Up Glove Box Essentials Caddy. I came up with this idea when once of my subscription boxes sent me this cute jewelry travel tote, but I already had one. I decided to put some on the go essentials in it and keep it in my glove box. It’s the perfect size, at my fingertips and I can still fit some other items in my glove box with it.
For this particular jewelry tote, I have three rows with three compartments each to store items in. I put items in it that I know my family needs on the go. If your family uses other items on the go, then by all means put in what you need! Every family is different!
On this first row, I keep a nail clipper, tweezers and file. My kids sometimes get hang nails, a splinter, etc. I also keep a small hand sanitizer that has a keychain, so that I can also put it on my key ring or on the strap of my purse if needed. Then, I always keep chapstick for ME. However, in the winter I may add a couple extra tubes for the kids.
I also add some travel sized sunblock packets, because there has been times when we’ve been out and I didn’t have any on me! Bandaids are a must, because sometimes I run out of the ones in my purse. I also like to keep a mini car game or deck of cards with me, incase we get hung up somewhere and the kids get antsy/bored.
I keep a full size box of Kleenex in my car, BUT it is nice to have an extra travel one that I can take and put in my purse or to give to the kids if they need it at school. The Tide To Go pen is a must, too! I eat in my car a lot (I know, BAD) and I sometimes get ketchup on myself or I need it for the kids clothes. And, lastly… it is nice to have some mints on hand or hard candy for the kids. This is great if they’re hungry, but we have an hour until dinner… or, it is just nice to have if I want to freshen up my breath before I meet up with someone.
This is what the caddy looks like with everything in it.
