Mornings and the mad dash after school to get homework done and a snack before extra curricular activities are our busiest times as a family. Also, sometimes my husband travels for work and is gone for the week and I am solo-parenting. I have to stay on top of everything as a mom, or the kids get crabby and the homework doesn’t get done till after bed time! That’s why I’m sharing this easy recipe for a Fruit Trail Mix using Frosted Mini Wheats 24 oz. You can whip this up and serve into individual bowls for your kids to eat at home or on the go!

So, how do you make this Easy and Fruity Trail Mix? Read on!

First, I stopped by my local Target store and found the special $2.99 end cap. I picked up a box of Frosted Mini Wheats for my recipe and a box of Froot Loops 17 oz.

Easy and Fruity Trail Mix


Ingredients:
Strawberries
Blueberries
Grapes Cut in Half
Frosted Mini Wheats

Directions:

Add 1/2 cup of strawberries to a bowl. Then, add a 1/2 cup of blueberries.



Add 1/2 cup of grapes (sliced in half). Then, add a 1/2 cup of Frosted Mini Wheats. Mix well and refrigerate. 



I usually serve into small bowls, or if on the go I will but then in snack size bags and keep an ice pack with them. Don’t forget to bring along a couple of spoons with napkins.



My kids just love this snack! There is a mix of fruit, flavor and textures that is pleasing to the taste buds!



My kids are always excited when I make this recipe and they always eat their entire serving in their bowl! It makes my life a little less hectic when I know I can make up a huge bowl of this snack and I can dish it into bowls in the morning or afternoon when they’re hungry. It also stays fresh for a couple of days in the refrigerator!
