Weekly Recap:
The kids had their LAST day of school on Tuesday! They’ve been home with me all week! We’ve been having a great time together. 🙂 Nathan’s new glasses came in. He needs them to see the board at school, but won’t need to wear them all the time. He looks so grown up with them on!
The first day off from school we went to the library to sign the kids up for the Library Reading Program. Nathan is in the TEEN program this year. He’s only 11, but I guess they do that once they are going into 6th grade, which is middle school. The kids have been reading about 40 minutes a day! They have also been doing a page in their summer bridge books each day. I’m so proud of them!
We went to Grant’s Farm with my parents on their 2nd day of Summer Break! Don’t worry, the third day we stayed home and rested! LOL! Grant’s Farm is always fun. The kids got to feed the goats milk with bottles.
Autumn got to ride a camel! You also get 2 free beers when visiting Grant’s Farm, but I only had one. I tried a Shock Top with lunch and it was good!
My brother and SIL had us over for a fun BBQ!! I made this Easy Crunchy Easy Ramen Noodle Salad and it was a hit at the party. My brother BBQ’ed hamburger and they were so good!
