Hi everyone! I can’t believe how quickly June has flown by. I have a feeling July is going to fly by even faster with a couple of vacations we have planned. Today I’m sharing two items- a new ring from www.MoonstoneShop.com that I received and my most recent Stitch Fix box! Recently I ordered a Stitch Fix Box (#9 for me), so that I could possibly find some new clothes for vacationing. I haven’t done a Stitch Fix box in awhile, so I was really excited to receive it. I told them I mostly wanted tops, gingham, ruffles, a dress for a tropical vacation and a nice pair of distressed shorts. Well, they did AWESOME and I received 3 tops, a dress and a pair of distressed denim shorts. I’ll share what I kept below…
Item One
Joliee Crochet Detail Dress (Collection Concepts) – $85 Didn’t Keep
I fell in love with this dress instantly and knew I had to have it. I love the bright orange color with pops of fuchsia and the tropical print. However, when I tried it on I realized the bra options for this dress were pretty limited. A strapless didn’t work. It is cut very low on the sides and the sides also didn’t fit me well, the fabric sort of sagged and there was too much of it in that area. I think it looks ok in the photos, but it really didn’t fit properly! For an $85 dress that I’d need to figure out a better bra option for, I decided to pass. But, DANG… I wish it had fit better!
MoonstoneMagic Shop also sent me this gorgeous ring. I love how simple it is and the stone on it is just gorgeous when it hits the light.
Item Two
Taylor Split Neck Blouse (Bobeau) – Under $60 (can’t remember specific price!) Didn’t Keep
This top was just adorable and would be perfect for any tropical vacation. I loved the colors in this top and I paired my clear mint bag with it and navy lace up espadrilles. So pretty! However, I try to only keep 1-2 items from my Stitch Fix box, SO this was sent back.
Item Three and Four
Panorama Henley Blouse (Pixley) – $48.00 Kept
and
Elian Distressed Cuffed Denim Short (Just Black) – $58.00 Kept
I was looking to add more gingham to my closet and blue isn’t a color I have a lot of in my closet. I fell in love with this top and the price was pretty decent, so I decided to keep it! I may wear this red, white and blue look on the 4th of July.
I kept these distressed shorts. I loved that they weren’t TOO distressed, just one patch on them. I love that the ends are frayed, so I can wear these cuffed, not cuffed (for the frayed edge) or just rolled up once (and not cuffed), like I did here. These are super cute shorts and they fit me to a ‘T’. I do wish they had been just a LITTLE longer, but they were so comfortable that I had to have them. I know these will be on repeat every week!
Item Five
Carson Pleated Hem Blouse (Daniel Rainn) – Under $60 (can’t remember specific price!) Didn’t Keep
I asked for items with ruffles in my box and this top has an adorable ruffle bottom to it. Since this top has a little bit of mint in it, I paired my mint bauble necklace and skinnies with it and also added a pop of coral with my lace up shoes. I thought this top was cute, but it didn’t blow me away. So, back it went.
So, what is Stitch Fix?
Stitch Fix is sort of like having your own personal shopper! You fill out a survey online (it includes photos of different outfits) and it helps them decide which outfits and which price range you fit into. They send you 5 pieces (tops, bottoms, accessories, jewelry, etc., etc.) and you decide which items you want to keep. After you’ve decided what you want to keep, you ship the rest back within 3 business days. If you buy all of the items you get a discount. There is a monthly fee of $20 that you will lose if you do not buy any of the 5 items. But, if you buy just one item they will subtract that $20 from your order.
And, if you sign up using my code, you’ll help me earn $25.00 off my next Stitch Fix box! To sign up under me, click HERE.
