Weekly Recap:
We had a lot of fun this week! I can’t believe the kids go back in 3 weeks to school. That makes me sad. This week we had a playdate with 3 other moms in Autumn’s class and we went to Mastodon State park. We had a lunch by the playground and then walked over to the creek and the kids caught fish (and other things) in nets and swam. They had a blast!
The next day, we had a movie day at home. We watched A Dog’s Purpose and I balled! It was quite a sad movie, but ended happily. I took the kids to Walgreens before the movie to pick out 2 movie snacks each and a drink. I also cooked some Cub scout popcorn on our stovetop using Brian’s famous popcorn recipe, click HERE for the recipe he uses (and don’t forget to melt an entire stick of butter to pour over the popcorn-yum!).
We had a little baby robin (I think) come visit us on our front porch this week. On Friday we went to the zoo and it was HOT. We didn’t stay long, just a few hours. Nathan wanted to check out the insectarium and butterfly house, so we did that.

The kids also wanted to pet the stingrays, which I had NEVER done before in my life… I was a little scared, even without their stingers they look scary to me. But, wow… they are the sweetest little creatures and I can see why they love to be petted… it’s like a spa day for them! There was even some smaller ‘baby-sized’ stingrays in there and they were SO soft. I really wanted to take one home. Is that weird?! We also paid $1 for each kid to feed them. I skipped that part! Ha!
