This is the last Goals post for 2017! Can you believe it? In January, I have another focus for my Goals posts. I will be sharing more on that next month, but it is something that I have been stubborn about and that I really, really need to work on!
In December…
I don’t have a WHOLE lot to say this month… just wrapping up my Goals post for 2018! So, last month I said that I had two goals left for the year and they were financial ones. In November I worked on (a) Figure Out Our Budget (which I will talk about more below) and this month I plan to work on (b) Revisit Retirement / Education Savings.
I actually started a little on this month’s goal already, which is great! We are now actively saving for college for both kids and we’ve talked to some family members and they are going to put money in the kids 529 accounts in lieu of gifts for birthdays and Christmas.
That leaves us with private high school tuition for both kids still to think about and if we want to start saving for it a little bit ahead of time, or just roll with it when it falls in our laps. I also want to take a look at all of our retirement accounts and see if they are where they should be, or if we should make some adjustments.
Here is my November Goal Recap:
My November Goal was to Figure Out Our Budget. Brian has a spreadsheet that is probably 5 years old, but it needs to be updated of what goes in and out each month. I am still working on this, so obviously this will be more than a month long goal! Brian also has a master password list, but he has a lot of his work passwords on it. So, I am still trying to figure out what to do with that. We may just need to set up one for ‘shared’ passwords for both of us. I’m just not sure. I still want to work on what we can cut back on each month, because I know there are some deductions we have that we probably no longer use.

Enter to Win a DevaCurl Miracle Worker Kit ($48.00 Value)!
Hey everyone! I was given the opportunity to give away a DevaCurl Miracle Worker Kit! You can enter to win below. I received one of these kits myself, and I love each and every product in it! I have naturally curly hair that I let air dry (most of the time) and it really helps keep it smooth and less frizzy and cuts down on how much time it takes me to style my hair.
