Happy Friday Everyone!
Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
One – Meeting Kellyann from This Blonde’s Shopping Bag
During my trip to Disney last week, Kellyann from This Blonde’s Shopping Bag drove an hour (each way!) to come crash in on my vacation (as she loved to call it! ha!). She was so sweet and easy to talk to and I wish we lived closer to each other. She was so cute, she has the Marco Polo app and was sharing our encounter with some of her closest blogging friends on video. I really need to get this Marco Polo app, I am feeling a bit behind! Ha!!
We met at Boma and had breakfast, which is in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Look at this delicious plate of food! I even had an iced coffee! Yum!! I am missing all of that Disney food right about now. 😉
Two – Favorites from our Last Vacay!

I am soo in love with these pearl hair clips! I just love how it adds a little summery pizzaz to any hairstyle! They’re really inexpensive, too!

I brought along this makeup case when we went to Disney and I LOVE it! It has a separate place to hold all of your brushes and little moveable ‘shelves’ on the base that let you fit your makeup how you want it. So convenient and they offer it in a few different colors.

This PACKABLE Panama hat from Nordstrom is the bomb!!! Seriously. You can pack this anywhere in your suitcase, it can get all crumbled up… and, it still looks perfect every.single.time! I wore it one day at the pool and I tucked my hair into a bun under it and my hair stayed dry, so that was a win-win, too! 🙂

These espadrilles platform sandals in white (they also come in other colors) are so comfortable and go perfectly with any summer maxi, skirt or even shorts!
Three – FOUR Baby Guinea Pigs!
Well, if you follow me on Instagram, Instagram Stories or my personal Facebook page, you know that PetSmart kind of GOOFED up on the sexes of our two guinea pigs. Brian started to notice that Penelope (Autumn had named what we thought was a boy guinea pig, a girl name, which makes this an even better story) was getting REALLY round. Well, then we turned ‘him’ over and he had these really big… guinea pig nipples… that looked like NURSING nipples. Eek! We took Penelope to the vet and found out our ‘male’ guinea pig was actually pregnant with FOUR, yes… four babies! PetSmart had told us we were buying two males and they only sell males at the store, but apparently this gets ‘messed up’ occasionally and we were the lucky, lucky ones to land up with a male and female.
We got the dad guinea pig (Maverick) neutered today and we also got the sexes done at the vet of all of the babies and we have 3 males and 1 female! The female is in the photo above, it is the black/white one that has long fur like her mom. Sigh. I think we are going to keep all of the babies and put the two original guinea pigs together (since the dad is ‘fixed’ now) with the one baby female (Stormy) and then the 3 boy babies will go in another cage together. My husband and Autumn really, really want to keep the babies… SO, uh… yeah. I’ve learned a lot more about guinea pigs in the last month than I’ve ever thought I’d learn.
And, just for your viewing pleasure… here is the X-ray the vet took while Penelope was pregnant. When we got this taken, we had just a little over a week until our Disney vacation. The vet said she’d have them within a week and she landed up having them the day before we returned home from Disney at my mom/dad’s house. My mom just fell in love with them! And, thankfully Penelope had them before she even knew it and the little babies were just running around the cage when my mom finally noticed she had given birth.
Four – Date Night that Brian Planned 🙂
My sweet husband marked two dates on our calendar this summer to surprise me with a date night out! Of course, he kept it a BIG secret on what we were actually doing. We had our first date night of the two last weekend and he really blew me away with the plans! 🙂 Our date night, was actually a date day and night! Ha! We started off the afternoon with couples massages AND facials at a new to me place called Aquarius Wellness. We started it off with a mimosas and the massage was a full hour and so was the facial. My facial even included eyebrow waxing! Ha! Not sure if that is something they typically do, but how convenient!
Then, that evening he planned dinner at a restaurant that he used to have a club membership to several years ago and now it has new owners and is open to the public. They specialize in FANCY, schmancy cocktails. I mean, seriously… the presentation and taste of these cocktails is none other in St. Louis. If anything, go here and just have a cocktail! The name of the restaurant is Blood and Sand… I know, kind of a weird name.
Five – Sephora Play

I received my Sephora Play June box and it had a lot of great new (to me) items in it:
Tarte – Foundation SPF 20: I couldn’t have been more thrilled to receive this right before our Disney trip with the travel size! It works really great, too, goes on light and lasts all day. I have enough left to take it with me to Maui! Yay!
Laneige – Lip Sleeping Mask: This is a mask you put on your lips at night. It goes on just like chapstick, but is a little thicker and has more staying power. I say this one is a WINNER and I’ll definitely be buying it once I run out.
Biossance – Squalane + Tea Tree Detox Mask: I typically don’t have skin that breaks out, but when I don’t use my Clarisonic faithfully, I will get a break out! I’ve found that tea tree oil is my numero uno weapon against break outs (and don’t pick them!). I will keep this face mask on hand for when I do get a breakout (usually after a holiday and I’ve indulged in too many sugary treats!).
First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream: I’ve been wanting to try some of the First Aid Beauty products and was excited to receive this in my Sephora Play box. This is a moisturizing cream that helps keep moisture in and pollution, irritants and allergens out.
Belif – The True Cream Aqua Bomb: I received this same exact product in an Influenster box and I love it! I received it with a thicker moisturizing mask (Belif Bomb Sleeping Mask) and the two work great hand in hand! I’m almost out of this from my Influenster box, so I was excited to receive more of it!
Hum Nutrition – Hair Sweet Hair: This was the bonus item in the Sephora Play box. These are delicious gummies that help strengthen your hair! I only had a one day supply, so I didn’t notice any changes… but, I’m sure it’d help if you took these daily.
Well, I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weekend with some lovely weather!
