Nothing says Fall more than a decorated front porch for the season, decked out with mums, pumpkins and cozy pillows. I haven’t updated my Fall decor for my front porch for a few years, so I thought this was THE year to do it! I decided to go with a neutral farmhouse look, which I love… but, I might sneak in some oranges closer to Halloween. That is what I love about a neutral palette, you have so much flexibility with it.
We have a pretty long covered porch, so it is a little more porch to decorate than most people have. I don’t have steps that lead up to the door, well… I have one step, if that counts. So, I can’t put pumpkins and mums on every stair leading up to the door, but I do have a lot of space to create a lovely space for us to sit outside and sip a hot cup of Harvest tea. Have you tried this tea from Trader Joe’s?! It is SO good… just add a dab of honey and dunk one of their pumpkin biscottis in it and you’ll be in HEAVEN!
I found this large ‘Welcome’ sign from Hobby Lobby and I just LOVE it. I’ve been wanting to get a tall vertical sign for awhile now. What is neat is that you can turn it over and it is painted orange and it says ‘Harvest’. My absolute favorite change on my porch, though is the layered door mats. I found the ‘Hello Pumpkin’ one on Etsy and the b/w gingham one on Amazon. And, boo! No, my mums did not bloom before these photos. Argh!
This Plaid Fabric Pumpkin Wreath is a wreath I made when I was doing my 12 Months of Wreaths series on the blog. You can find the tutorial HERE.

I always get a new flag when I change up the look of my front porch and THIS gingham pumpkin flag on Amazon caught my eye.
I usually have my metal galvanized planter stand (gifted awhile back) and wooden easel (At Home store) out on the porch by the bench. I love decorating the wooden easel from season to season. A lot of the decorations on the wooden easel are from Hobby Lobby, so I can’t link them… but, you’ll find them in their Fall aisles! The white washed chicken wire pots are a craft I did last summer. You can find the tutorial HERE.
Decorating the wooden easel was easy and fun!
I always like to include some real flowers, so I put some pansies in the terra-cotta pot on top. I also included a couple of gingham pumpkins.
On the bottom shelf, I found THE cutest gray and white gingham pumpkin (it is ceramic) at Hobby Lobby. I want another one for inside our house! I filled a lantern with a really adorable white and gingham pumpkin mix they had at Hobby Lobby and I made and added a gingham bow on top. Such cuteness!!!
Everything on the front porch is black, white or gray… BUT, I couldn’t part with these beautiful pink wave petunias in my galvanized planter, so I kept them in there. I got this really adorable ‘Be Grateful’ sign at Hobby Lobby and I hung it on the front of the planter stand. I think it makes a really cute extra little detail! I’m all about the details, peeps!

Last, I’ll share with you the pillows I put on our bench. I wanted to get a third pillow, but these two pillows fill the space perfectly. The gingham pillow is a pillow cover from Amazon and I got the ‘Fall, the best time of all!’ from a boutique in St. Charles.

I hope you enjoyed my front porch. I had a lot of fun decorating it. I spent a lot of time decorating our new kitchen area last year, so I thought it’d be fun to go outside and decorate more this year. I tend to pick one space in the house (so I don’t get overwhelmed) and freshen it up each season. Have a great day!
