Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files with Carrie at Curly Crafty Momand Jill at Doused in Pink. I’m excited to have you here and would love to have you link up one of your latest outfits at the bottom of this post. I will be taking occasional Co-Hosts for Thursday Fashion Files, if you are interested you can email me at carrie (at) curlycraftymom (dot) com to set up a date.
I always enjoy ordering a Stitch Fix box every new season, because who doesn’t love new clothes? I believe this is box #16 for me! For this box, I asked for some trendy summer pieces that I could wear around the home or for a fun date night out with my husband. This box had some cute items in it, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for from them. BUT, I did land up keeping a couple of items from the box (which I’ll share below). And, with me not leaving my home as much as I typically do, it was nice to do a little shopping via mail thanks to Stitch Fix!
Items One and Two
STS Blue – Paisleigh Pull On Striped Ruffle Shorts $48.00 – Kept
Kids – Kickstart Rainbow Novelty Canvas Sneakers $60.00 – Sent Back
When I saw the Paisleigh Pull On Striped Ruffle Shorts in the box, I knew I would want to keep them right away! I love this style and they’re so comfy and the ruffled/elastic waist is so trendy right now.
I usually tell Stitch Fix not to send me shoes, but I think I told them I wanted a pair of summer shoes this time… I would have preferred a pair of sandals, BUT these white sneaks are so cute. But, I already have SO many white pairs of sneakers that they went back.
This crochet white top I have on was in the box as well and I’ll be sharing more details about it below. But, it worked really well tucked in to show the darling waistline on these shorts.
Item Three and Four
Market & Spruce – Hans Crochet Front Top $58.00 – Returned
This Hans Crochet top in white is so cute, but I have so.many.white tops! So, I sent it back. I love these skinny cuffed pants in baby blue and this entire outfit would be so cute for church or a ladies luncheon, but they felt more Eastery/spring to me than summer… and, I don’t know if I’d get a ton of wear out of them this summer with the whole sheltering in place. So, I sent them back, too.
When I started editing these photos, I decided I do LOVE this outfit, especially the pops of yellow with the clutch and bow tie belt. But, I don’t think I’d have a lot of opportunities to wear the pants and they were $78.00. Sooo, I think I’m not TOO upset I sent them back. Lol.
I wore the Chiffon Flower Teardrop earrings in my first outfit, but I forgot to have Brian take a closeup shot of them. So, you can see them better in this shot from last week’s post. These earrings are made from a boutique called Marlyn Schiff. I took a look at her shop online and she makes so many cute jewelry pieces. You can find her on Instagram HERE.
Stitch Fix is sort of like having your own personal shopper! You fill out a survey online (it includes photos of different outfits) and it helps them decide which outfits and which price range you fit into. They send you 5 pieces (tops, bottoms, accessories, jewelry, etc., etc.) and you decide which items you want to keep. After you’ve decided what you want to keep, you ship the rest back within 3 business days. If you buy all of the items you get a discount. There is a monthly fee of $20 that you will lose if you do not buy any of the 5 items. But, if you buy just one item they will subtract that $20 from your order.
And, if you sign up using my code, you’ll get $25.00 off your next Stitch Fix box! To sign up under me, click HERE.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday! Which items from this box did you love?
