The Diffuser Blend this month is the Winter Sunshine Diffuser Blend, which gives off a seasonal aroma, cleans, soothes and uplifts. The cinnamon in it helps to warm you on a cold winter day. I whipped it up in THIS essential oils diffuser I found off Amazon. It comes in several different colors and I love its compact size and neutral color. It worked nicely at diffusing the Winter Sunshine Diffuser Blend throughout the room in my home.
Recipe #1: Orange Grove Exfoliating Soap
In the winter, my skin is always dryer and this Orange Grove Exfoliating Soap helps to refresh my skin. For the Orange Grove Exfoliating Soap you’ll need 1.5 oz goat milk soap base, 10 drops of Cedarwood Essential Oil, 15 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil and dried orange slices.
To make the Orange Grove Exfoliating Soap:
- In a double boiler, melt the soap base and add the essential oils and stir.
- Cut and arrange orange slices in the mold. Note: the orange slices will float. To layer them throughout the soap, fill mold part way with soap and add orange slices. Allow soap to harden and repeat process as desired.
- Pour soap into mold.
- To use, wet hands or body, lather with soap and rinse.
Recipe 2: Calming Orange Grove Roll On
The Calming Orange Grove Roll On will help take away any holiday stress as we all know the end of the year is really busy and nonstop. You’ll need 10 mL fractionated coconut oil, 2 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil, 3 drops Bergamot Essential Oil and 10 mL roll on bottle.
To make the Calming Orange Grove Roll On:
- Add essential oils to roll on bottle. Fill the bottle the rest of the way with fractionated coconut oil. Seal and swirl to mix.
- Put label included in recipe box on the roll on bottle.
To use the Calming Orange Grove Roll On, apply it to pulse points for a calming and uplifting effect.
