The Diffuser Blend this month is the Happy Dance Diffuser Blend, which will get you up off your desk chair or the couch for a little energetic dance while you smell its energizing aroma! I recently purchased a larger essential oils diffuser for our family room (find it HERE), since it is such a large open space. It worked nicely at diffusing the Happy Dance Diffuser Blend throughout the room in my home.
Recipe #1: B.O. Be Gone Natural Deodorant
I’ve been using a natural deodorant for a few years now, but I’ve never tried making my own at home. For the B.O. Be Gone Natural Deodorant, you’ll need 1/3 cup coconut oil (solid), 1 tablespoon beeswax, 30 drops B.O. Be Gone Essential Oil Blend, 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 tablespoon zinc oxide and a deodorant container.
To make the B.O. Be Gone Natural Deodorant:
- In a double boiler, melt the coconut oil and beeswax.
- Remove from heat and add essential oils.
- Stir in dry ingredients. This will cause the mixture to solidify quickly. If necessary, please mixture back on heat to re-melt.
- Pour mixture into a deodorant container. Allow to cool to room temperature.
- To use, apply to underarms.
Recipe 2: Sunshine Body Wash
The Sunshine Body Wash will energize and awake you during your morning shower. You’ll need 2 oz body wash base, 20 drops Lemon Essential Oil and 15 drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil..
To make the Sunshine Body Wash:
- Add essential oils to the soap base.
- Shake mixture for 2 minutes to totally mix oils with soap base. The soap base will thicken once oils are mixed.
To use the Sunshine Body Wash, wet body, lather soap, wash body and rinse.
