Thursday Fashion Files Link Up #309 – Spectacular and Spotted in a Silky Wrap Dress

Hi everyone!! I am going to be taking some breaks off and on this summer from posting on Thursday Fashion Files, so you may see a guest poster a couple times a month here until the fall. This week I have Kathrine from Kathrine Eldridge Wardrobe Stylist here to share a beautiful summer dress she is styling from her Nuuly subscription box. Kathrine lives in the midwest like me and we hope to meet sometime whenever I am in Chicago next or when she is in my hometown of St. Louis. She is a sweet mom of two teen boys that are slightly older than my kids, she enjoys wine/bourbon, she sets aside time for sipping tea and being creative in her journal, loves edgy fashion styles and working with her clients, playing her flute and she is active at her church and in scripture with Christ! I’m spectacular and spotted in a silky wrap dress that came from my most recent Nuuly Box. Nuuly is a clothing rental subscription service that I have been a loyal to for almost two years now. Dresses like this are the reason why I keep coming back.

Hello followers of Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom! So happy and honored to be guest posting for one of my favorite bloggers. I still haven’t met her in person but I hope to soon with the pandemic slowly fading away. Thank you Carrie for letting me drop in here.

I knew I had to include the name of this dress in this post somehow. I adore the abstract take on this animal printed wrap dress. Since I’m a petite gal, mini dresses are my friend but adding a wrap detail to this dress style is brilliant. My love for edgy and feminine vibes comes together perfectly in this piece that I found on Nuuly’s site. My plan is to wear this dress this weekend for a night out in downtown Chicago with my sister. (For my 50th birthday she has planned a dinner, an overnight stay at the Waldorf-Astoria, and a spa day the next day. I am one lucky gal!)

The dress is a statement in itself so I went with neutral accessories. The gold clutch adds some extra punch while the rattan earrings (that Carrie bought for me for a previous birthday) mimic the print for the dress. The only detail that wasn’t perfect was the neckline. It is plunging. This 50-year old decided to add her black lace cami bra to keep me from being self-conscious of what I was showing off.
