Self Care Diffuser Blend

The Diffuser Blend this month is the Self Care Diffuser Blend, which has a combination of essential oils in it that will calm and relax you as we prepare for the business that the fall brings. I recently purchased a larger essential oils diffuser for our family room (find it HERE), since it is such a large open space. It worked nicely at diffusing the Self Care Diffuser Blend throughout the room in my home.

 

 

Recipe #1: Lava Rock Shower Diffuser

Shower Diffusers are all the rage right now for a spa-like experience in your own shower at home! For the Lava Rock Shower Diffuser, you’ll need Lava Rock Bead (included), String (included) and 2-5 drops Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil.

 

To make the Lava Rock Shower Diffuser:

  1. Place string through lava rock, tie it in a loop and hang from shower head.
  2. Before showering, add 2-5 drops of Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil to your lava rock shower diffuser.
  3. Turn on shower and enjoy the calming effects of the Lavender essential oil. Refresh diffuser as needed. Feel free to experiment and swap out the oils you use with this diffuser.

 

 

Recipe 2: Fizzy Purple Bath Scoop

This Fizzy Purple Bath Scoop will fizz once you place it in the bath while it releases into the warm bath water. It is moisturizing and the Peace & Quiet Essential Oil Blend will calm and relax you. To make the Fizzy Purple Bath Scoop, you’ll need 1.5 tablespoons of coconut oil (solid), 1/2 tablespoon fractionated coconut oil, 5 drops Peace & Quiet Essential Oil Blend, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 tablespoon Citric Acid (included), 2 Tablespoon Cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon Purple Brazilian Clay (included).

 

To make the Fizzy Purple Bath Scoop:

  1. In a double broiler, melt the coconut oils.
  2. While the coconut oil is melting, mix together the dry ingredients.
  3. Once the coconut oil is just melted, add the essential oil and stir.
  4. Slowly add your oil mixture to your dry ingredients while stirring.
  5. Once thoroughly mixed, use an ice cream scoop to scoop out your mixture.
  6. Place onto a lined tray and allow to completely dry for 24-48 hours.

To use: Place a bath truffle into bath and watch it fix. Use caution while exiting the tub as the oils in this recipe can cause your tub to become slippery.
