I am back with my second (of three) posts for our trip to Myrtle Beach back in July. If you want to catch up on my first post, you can check it out HERE. We stayed in Myrtle Beach for my daughter’s dance competition, but we also got to do a lot of fun activities as a family and with the dance families on her team.
I am always the first person awake in our household and I enjoyed looking out of the balcony every morning to see the sunrise over the beach.
Here is a view of the beach from our penthouse condo. Our third day at Myrtle Beach was completely open, so we decided to make it a nice, long and relaxing beach day.
While the boys were still getting ready, Autumn and I went down to reserve an umbrella and two chairs. We wanted to make sure we reserved a good spot!
Then, we walked to Harry’s Breakfast Pancakes for breakfast. Myrtle Beach is known for its pancake houses. They are EVERYWHERE! And, this place did not disappoint! I enjoyed their Hawaiian pancakes and it was some of the best pancakes I had ever had!
We saw some beautiful flowering bushes on our walk back to the condo and we took some family photos. 🙂
The walk back to our condo has seashells in the concrete, so of course I had to take a photo of my feet with them.
The start of our beach day was a little cloudy and a tiny storm popped in. We were able to stay under our umbrella and it passed quickly with little to no rain.
The kids enjoyed burying each other in the sand. Ha, ha!
Autumn’s favorite thing to do was to collect seashells. She collected a lot and I spread them out on our balcony to let them dry.
She found one shark tooth and a girl she became friends with on the beach gave her another shark tooth.
For dinner we went down to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.
Then, we went back to the condo and relaxed a bit. We had reservations at Ciao! for dinner. It was SO good. We had a mozarella caprese salad for an appetizer and then I had scallops with linguini noodles in a marinara sauce.
Our fourth day was another full day of competitive dance at Starpower.
Autumn had tap line and production and they both did well.
After a day of dance, we had dinner at Hook and Barrel, a seafood restaurant in Myrtle Beach. I had pan seared scallops with creamed corn. SOOO delicious. I love scallops and order them over anything else when I see them on the menu.
That is a wrap up on our third and fourth day in Myrtle Beach! You can check out the first and second day post HERE. I’ll have one more post which will include our final days in Myrtle Beach. Stay tuned! 🙂
