I am back with my third/last post for our trip to Myrtle Beach back in July. If you want to catch up on my first post, you can check it out HERE and my second post HERE. We stayed in Myrtle Beach for my daughter’s dance competition, but we also got to do a lot of fun activities as a family and with the dance families on her team. On our fifth day in Myrtle Beach, we went to Huntington Beach State Park for a party on the beach with her dance team. It was a really neat park with lots of marshlands, the Atalaya Castle and of course, the beach!
Of course, we had to take a family photo of us once we arrived at the beach party. One of the girls on Autumn’s dance team found a cute crab!
After hours at the beach, we came home and cleaned up for the Starpower Battles of the Stars show, which two of Autumn’s dances got into! We were all a little tired and sunburned, but we powered through. The Battle of the Stars show had this HUGE man powered camera, which was really neat to see different angles of the dancers on the big screens.
Autumn’s dance team did really good at the Battle of the Stars. Both of her dances placed 2nd and her dance teacher won a choreography award for her large tap line dance.
The next morning we woke up and had the ENTIRE day to ourselves, before we would fly out the next day. We decided to have a leisurely lunch at Sea Captain’s House, which is nestled in-between the high rise condos right on the beach.
Instead of bread, they gave us hushpuppies and I ordered the most delicious salad with scallops.
After lunch, we met Autumn’s dance duet partner and friend at the Ripley’s Aquarium. It was a really cute aquarium with lots of ocean life.
Here is a photo of an octopus and a momma stingray and her baby.
That night, we went to the Pirate’s Voyage Dinner, which is owned by Dolly Parton. It was a lot of fun!
Our last morning in Myrtle Beach, we had an afternoon flight, so we hung out at the condo for as long as we could. We Door Dashed Duck Donuts, which were some really fun (and delicious) gourmet donuts. I didn’t know it at the time, but they have a Duck Donuts in Chesterfield, MO.
Once we had to check out, we headed to lunch at Croissants Bistro & Bakery. Yes, we had to enjoy all of the good foods in Myrtle Beach before we left. They had some cocktails on the menu, so I ordered a peach sangria.
For my meal I had the fried green tomato and pimento melt with cheesy hash browns. Then, for dessert I shared their key lime pie for two with Brian. We were all SOOO stuffed afterwards!
We still had some time to kill after lunch, so we went to the outlet mall for a few hours. We bought a few things, but not too much since we had to fly it all back. We really enjoyed our trip to Myrtle Beach and I would definitely go back in the future!
That is a wrap up on our fifth, sixth and seventh day in Myrtle Beach! You can check out the first post HERE and second post HERE.
