Happy Friday Everyone!
One – Current Happenings!
Happy Friday, friends! Who else is happy that it is Spring? I thought it was time to get my adorable bunny mug out!
I purchased this Ruth and Esther bible study right before Covid hit… and, I’ve tried SO many times to start it. Well, I am excited to say that things have finally calmed down enough here (for now, ha ha!) for me to finish it. It was a good one! Next up, I’ve ordered the books for The Bible Recap and I can’t wait to dive in. It covers the Bible in a year, but in chronological order. You can go at your own pace, so it may take me a little over a year to get through it, but I’m excited to start.

We always get Nathan new shoes at the start of cross country and track and usually every 2~ years I will get myself some new running shoes and inserts. I decided to go with my beloved Brooks! They set me up with the Adrenaline GTS 22 and they are so supportive for when I do my long runs. We both got ourselves a pair of goodr nonslip sunglasses. These sunglasses are really popular with runners right now and I tried them out on a long run and they’re light weight and do not budge!
Two – Pointe Shoes, Positive for Covid & Band!
Autumn has been taking a beginners pointe class and she was finally moved up to ACTUAL pointe shoes! They look incredibly painful to me, but she wears them with such grace. And, WHO knew you were in charge of sewing on the ribbons and elastics yourself? Thank goodness that Autumn took care of that all on her own! The evening of that same day, Autumn started to feel bad and we tested her the next morning and found out she had Covid!!! Aghhh! Thankfully, the rest of us were spared (somehow!). She was only sick for a day and a half with it, it was so quick. Then, of course, she had to do all the quarantine and mask wearing to be safe, but it went wayyy smoother than I thought it would be. I was really relieved!
Three – What I’ve Been Loving Lately

I have been wanting to try Verb bars for a long time! I finally gave it a try and I was really surprised when they arrived and they were the size of a fun size candy bar! It is NOT a full size granola bar by any means. Some of them have clean energy in them (green tea, so it won’t may you feel jittery nor will you crash later from it) and some are caffeine free. I went with the Chocolate Chip Banana Bread flavor and it is really good. It does have caffeine in it, so my main use for it is before a long run for a little boost or in the afternoon in the carpool line if I need a little pick me up to get me through the evening. There are a lot of different flavors, such as Vanilla Latte, Cookie Butter, Salted Peanut Butter and lots more. You can try a sample pack off of Amazon HERE.
I started a monthly subscription to these Ruby Love period boxes for a special teen in my household. I went ahead and ordered them for 12 months. It comes with period underwear in each box along with wipes, pads, pantyliners (these are all disposable). Then, there are a lot of cute gifts in the boxes each month, which I think makes it fun! The box for February was really cute. She received a red and white polka dotted bath headband, Avocado face wipes and face mask, a special toothbrush, bamboo comb and more.
Four – Latest Shows
We finally finished Ted Lasso! Ohh, did I love this show. I could watch it again as background noise, it is just an all out feel good show with a lot of great humor in it. We are now working our way through The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Season 4. And, I’m hoping to watch West Side Story, which is available to stream on Disney+ and HBO Max right now. We just haven’t had a chance to watch it yet.
Five – Stuff Going on Around Our House
Brian’s been back to the office since after the holidays and they brought the entire rest of the office back a couple of weeks ago. He’s been working in my office space for over 2 years and I am SO excited to get it back. It had gotten quite messy and it needed a good cleaning and organizing, which you know I love to do!
I have a lot of big plans for this office space. There is an entire room to this space, but I’m just sharing the office part of the room. I’m hoping to get a new desk for my birthday that will work a little better and that will be a little more simple. I want to go with more of a neutral/farmhouse theme for this space. I haven’t spruced it up in ages and I’m itching to work wonders on it. Stay tuned!
We have had the same couches in our family room since 2003, when we bough this house! They really needed to be replace, but we just kept holding off, because… KIDS!!! We finally made it over to La-Z-Boy a couple of weeks ago and picked out a new sofa and loveseat. The catch is that they said it could take 4-6 months, but I had a friend nearby tell me that they got theirs much sooner. Fingers crossed! I do still plan to buy a couch cover, because… still, KIDS!!! But, at least I am smart enough to buy a couch cover THIS time, whereas last time I did not. Ha! #imlearning #smartmom
I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weekend!
