Happy Friday Everyone!
One – Our new kitten, Ollie Bear!! 🙂
Shop Ragdoll Sweatshirt:
Happy Friday, friends! Well, I am a little late posting about our new kitten, but we just got back from Ireland a week ago and I’m trying to get back into the swing of things (with kitten in tow!). Oliver is a blue lynx bicolor ragdoll that we purchased from a breeder earlier this month. As you know, I lost my precious calico kitty back in August and honestly, I missed having a cat SO much. I was worried how Oliver would fit into our family, but all I can say is he is just PERFECT. He is so sweet, lovable and he does play hard… but, he’s such a good cat. I just love him so much!!
Shop Cat Toy Bin:
Here are a couple more photos of Oliver. He’s such a cutie and has the prettiest blue eyes. And, if you are cat obsessed like I am, you can follow him over on his very own Instagram page HERE. He loves to follow me around everywhere to see what I’m doing and I just love when he gets tired and sleeps next to me. What a cutie!
Two – Homecoming; Cross Country/Lancerettes Misc.
We had homecoming the night before we flew out to Ireland. Whew, that was TOUGH! Autumn got her hair done at The Dry Bar and WOW… I really want a special occasion to get my hair done there now! It looked so fun! She wore a gorgeous sheath red dress that tied up in the back and had her nails done (tips) for the first time. It was a special night! We met her and her friends at the park for photos (I’m not including any of her friends on here, but if you follow my personal FB page you’ll see all the photos on there) and then they went to Red Robin for dinner before the dance. She had a sleepover at one of her friend’s house after the party. I think she had a great first homecoming!
Here is Nathan dressed up for his senior homecoming. I asked Autumn to get a photo of them together at the dance and she was so sweet to send me one.
Nathan ran a varsity race at Gans Creek (this is the course in Columbia, MO) and he broke into the 19’s… and since then he’s broken into the 18’s. That is a 6 minute pace, which is CRAZY fast. He has worked hard for it, so it is well deserved. I can’t believe he only has a week left of cross country and then he will be done with it. Where does time go?! After the race, we ate lunch at Pierpont, which is this cute little gas station/cafe near the course. They have fun drinks and a small menu with apps, sandwiches and more.
Last week they celebrated Senior Night at the end of the cross country meet. We got a photo of Nathan next to his senior banner and the team all pitched in little gifts for gift baskets for the seniors on the team. He got a lot of candy, gift cards and even $5 cash.
Autumn had her last football game and I signed up to bring a dessert for the Lancerettes dinner. Autumn wanted to get the Crumbl minis, aren’t they almost too cute to eat?!
Three – Anniversary Flowers & Lunch/Fall Shopping with a Friend
Brian and I had our anniversary the week prior to leaving for Ireland, so it was low key. We did have a nice dinner in Ireland to celebrate, though! Brian sent me the most gorgeous bouquet of fall flowers. We celebrated 11 years together!
I had lunch with my friend Becky and my mom (she isn’t pictured, but her and Becky used to work together) and then we browsed the cute shops in Kirkwood. I’ll share these cute pink pumpkins I saw, but I saw a lot of other cute fall decorations.
Four – Latest Book I’ve Read & Shows I’ve Watched
Spare by Prince Harry – I listened to this book on audio and it took me a couple months to get through it. I found some parts of the book a little long and dull and other parts really interesting. My big take away from it? Prince Harry is really, really broken from the loss of his mom (Princess Di) from the paparazzi to this day and he is just disgusted with them and will avoid them at all costs. I felt like in the book, he wanted his family to support him and Megan more with their safety/resentment/anger against the paparazzi, but I also feel like there is just only SO much you can control with them. My other take away is that Prince Harry feels like the spare, which is the title of the book. Having an older brother that will be king someday and you won’t be… that is tough. He was also less into school and more into partying/drugs and I think that is just how some people are, but he is judged more for it since he’s royalty. The good? I think Prince Harry truly has done some good in this world, by serving in the military, the The Invictus Games, etc. He seems to truly think highly of his wife and children and providing the best protection and normal lives for them, given the fact that he’s royalty. Prince Harry seems to truly like his brother and SIL, but it seems they have their struggles (what siblings don’t?). All in all, not a bad read… but, I didn’t need to hear about Prince Harry’s frozen… well, I won’t spoil the book. 😉
Love at First Sight is a new movie on Netflix and it was really cute! It is about two strangers that meet on a flight to London and they connect over their own hardships/difficulties. By fate, they reconnect once in London and… I won’t say anymore. If you enjoy a romantic flick every now and then, this one is for you!
Five – Latest Finds that I Love!
I saw these adorable mini ceramic light up Christmas tree ornaments at Hobby Lobby in white or pink. I grabbed one in each color. These would be perfect for your tree, a small gift or stocking stuffer gift.
Target has their Christmas Dollar Spot stuff out already! I was in Target with Autumn and we both grabbed some things (you can see we each have our own side of stuff in the cart! ha!). I really love this snowman canister (it is glass!) and there is a tree version of it too. I plan to fill it with marshmallows and I’ll display it on my hot cocoa bar.
Shop Body Lotion:
I was in Sephora with Autumn recently and I tried a sample of this Moroccan Oil Body Lotion. It smelled so good! They have a few other scents that I’d love to try next. This may be something I’ll be asking for Christmas as I am a huge fan of body lotions.
Shop These Products:
Pixi sent me another great package and it has their 5 Essentials:
Lash Booster Mascara in Blackest Black
These are all great products and I’ve been loving all of them.
Thrive had a really good Podcast the other day which talked about ChatGPT for Bloggers. Are you using ChatGPT at all for your blog? I’d love to hear in the comments!
I hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weekend!
